Vehicle Detail
1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC In Very Good - Excellent Condition, I have 5 Lincoln Mark VIII's - this is the best one I own. I love these cars and this one is meticulously maintained, It was a back-up to my daily driver and rarely driven as these cars are very dependable for well over 250,000miles. one car is a project that never got started and 2 are parts cars. I have changed fluids regularly, and regularly check all components that wear out to replace with New or pull from my extensive Parts inventory. I have too many project vehicles right now and not enough parking spaces and need to sell one or two Lincolns. when I purchased this vehicle a couple years ago I replaced all of the suspension bushings, control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends and all suspension and steering components that wear out over time with brand new components to bring back that factory luxury ride, also new belt and hoses, it has new 235/60ZR16 tires slightly wider and lower profile than stock to also improve ride and handling, has the factory Air-Ride suspension and works great. Also replaced the stock mufflers with Mustang GT takeoffs for a better flow and much better sound, New Interstate Battery 6/2015 with 5 year warranty, this is the LSC top end model that included every option minus the sunroof but does include CD Changer and the factory cell-phone. I would not be selling this car if I had room to park it at my house and my wife would quit asking why I need so many vehicles, I am not a used car dealer or mechanic, just believe in letting other people pay full price for expensive cars and if you take care of them they will last forever. I personally feel and I know a lot of other Mark VIII enthusiasts agree this is the best vehicle Ford Motor Company ever made and the best looking, most comfortable, most reliable and best performing Lincoln. This is the original factory paint Toreador Red exterior not perfect but very good, a few dings, bumper chips, and clear coat flakes here and there but not bad and still bright & shiny and Prairie Tan interior - very nice and clean, I'd say minimal wear to the usual spot on drivers seat side, all the rest is excellent. A/C is Ice cold. previous owner and myself are non-smokers. Zero rust on this California car. No leaks, No problems. All paperwork up to date, Clean title in hand, I pulled Car-Fax before I purchased it and no Accidents or Incidents (it was pointed out to me by an ebayer that the report is showing an accident reported in 2012 to right rear, it is very interesting to me that it didn't show on the carfax report I pulled in 2013, but I had noticed the small piece of trim molding behind the passenger door doesn't sit quite flush, but other than that I do not see evidence of any body repair) , I will get smog certificate for California buyer . registration good until August 2017 PAYPAL PAYMENT OR CASH IN PERSON ONLY will help with freight quote and shipping details, including shopping for best deal and loading safely. NOTE: If interested I will include a second 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII (Black on Black) 105,000miles near perfect interior but desperately needs a fresh paint job. but with a fresh paint job it could be resold for more than the cost of both cars. will include for $1000 + Freight or free pickup, ask for details if interested in this 2 car deal. You can call me for more info and details, ask for phone number FURTHER UPDATE WITH Q/A from eBayer: Honestly and realizing 99% of the owners of these cars are a member of an unnamed cult and once you own one its a progressive addiction, I understand that most mark VIII's are overpriced, but ebay sets the world market and things are only worth what people are willing pay for them, that being said I believe this is a great car at a fair price at $3000 with no surprises and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country at 80mph with the A?C on if I needed too, I would rate it a 7 overall with the rare 30,000 mile granny owned / garaged car being a 10 and the parts car in my backyard a 1, and my daily driver a 6. I didn't list every detail because I figure anyone buying on eBay knows what they are buying. to answer your questions the Air ride is fully working, one front bag quit last year so I put the springs on my daily driver that had 54,000 miles and swapped the good bag to the red car, for the most part it seems to be working perfectly except for the occasional morning squat if the weather is right, I could throw in some extra parts in the trunk like the other air bags, sensors, compressor and valves. The A/C is one of my obbsessions living in Southern California (you know what I mean in Vegas) and It works perfectly!! the Heat? who knows? I never needed to even try it and why risk a blend air door catastrophic failure. tires may have 1000 miles on them, they are Falken 235/60ZR16 ZIEX ZE912 not a cheep tire with a little more meat than the stock 225/60/16 ( I went with 245's on my driver....like them a lot). what else? the L/U switch on drivers side pushed into the door panel and needs to be pushed back in place and just haven't felt like pulling the door panel ( an easy 2 hour job to do it right and not break anything), the ashtray lid wont stay closed (this is a first for me but like I said to do it right and not break anything I would call this one a 3 hour job) I might have a spare spring or door or whatever it needs and don't hesitate to contact me.continued from last message: dont hesitate to contact me for parts in the future at a "good-guy" price if you're in need. next the driver seat I would rate a 7 - 8 in the normal wear spot, there are a few dings if you stand at the right angle and look down the body, there are some strange swirls to the paint on the hood from parking to close to a bird of paradise plant that could be buffed out, all keyfob functions work perfect, brakes are fairly new, quiet, and firm. the grill painted satin black by the previous owner but I like it, will include half a spray can or Toredor Red to be used at will. Mustang GT mufflers a and tips sound considerably better than the stock, not too loud not too soft and zero drone, back 3 windows tinted by a once a month appointment from a commercial installer (they only do vehicles once a month) that cost $175 and worth it. Headlights need "The Treatment" as they have some film peeling and slightly foggy, drivers side gets condensation after a wash but clears up (not sure of the sealing procedure as it wasn't critical for me). the windshield has one 1/4" chip about 3" from the bottom closer to passenger side (very un-obstructive, I forget about it and think its new every few months). Steering and Alignment are dead on perfect. I really cant think of anything else and would call that full disclosure - feel free to ask anymore questions you can think of. The bottom line I never had any intention of selling this car, it would either move up or down in my ranks of cars toward daily driver or parts car and I wouldnt sell it now if I didnt get a smokin deal on a 1970 C20 chevy truck 4x4 with new 383 stroker, but I am clean out of parking spots and I dont like parking and moving cars on the public street. Fell Free to Ask if you think I left anything out thanks, Jon UPDATE: Just giving it an overall visual this evening I want to add there are new clear-coat freckles on the roof (maybe 2 dozen), this just started as far as I can tell as they were not there the last time I washed the car
