Vehicle Detail

1976 Ford F-350 Ranger XLT, Crewcab Longbox. Truck is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. ,Only about 3 hrs north of Montana. Because of it's age and "Antique" status, it is free to travel to travel without restriction worldwide. (PLEASE DO NOT WRITE TO ME ASKING WHAT IT NEEDS TO GET INTO THE STATES... answer is, it needs nothing). This truck can travel from Canada to the States almost as freely as a bird from state to state.I've sold our vehicles to the U.S. and some worldwide now. There's been zero problem. Check my feedback. Each one has been for a vehicle sold to the US or worldwide. Not a single satisfactory sale.... EVERYONE'S BEEN OVERJOYED!!! Oh, should mention... My wife's become pretty great at setting up easy shipping for people that have bought our cars. She has a little system now and, she'll be happy to help you out. For sale by *** PRIVATE OWNER *** Relatively low mileage, 2 owner truck. These trucks are quite rare. They are especially difficult to find in nice, clean, original condition with a documented history. As you might have guessed I'd say... this one is nice, clean, original, and with a documented history. :-)Back when I had originally bought this truck, I traveled 16 hours through a treacherous snowstorm with my truck and trailer to beat out many other buyers and tow it home. It was a dangerous trip. Matter of fact, after I returned, it took me several days to get un-nerved. Even so... Boy was I glad I went; the truck was every bit as marvelous as I had hoped it would be. I call this a 2-owner truck but, use that term relatively loosely. Truth be told, I haven't driven it even 100 miles. All I did is take it to have everything checked over by a trusted mechanic friend, have him install new wheels, fix some leaks, and then to have it thoroughly detailed and polished. And, well... That's it. It's been parked ever since. I'd planned on maybe using it here and there to tow some of our classic cars but, we hadn't. The biggest reasons I originally bought the truck are: -Because I enthusiastically love these generation Ford's, -It's rarity as a full load Ranger XLT crewcab longbox. -It's originality. -It's short and documented history. -And (as explained to my wife) as a kinetic investment. :-)Here's the history of the truck. It was purchased brand new by a long-haul truck driver and his wife. The truck was a special order. As explained to me firsthand, they checked off every option they could, and ordered it in the color combination they loved best. Once their brand new '76 Ford Ranger XLT crewcab longbox arrived, they enjoyed using it to tow their trailer in the summer months. The rest of the time, it mostly sitting parked in their large shop/garage. He sometimes drove it to town for errands in the summer months. Fast forward many years..... The original owner had passed away, and his heartbroken widow held onto the truck (along with tractors, tools, and other items). She took care of everything so nicely. This truck was parked in in the same heated shop it was always kept but, placed on carpet, and covered. Rosemary was SUCH a sweet and wonderful lady. She had a dear friend of her late husband routinely start it up and look after everything. Personally, I've been a fan of these '73-79 Fords for ever since my father bought one new in '76. I think it's probably the same thing for many guys that love these as well. Seems everyone's father, brother, cousin, or uncle had one at some time or another. They bring back great memories. I've had these trucks in every shape and form but.... To me, the F-350 Crewcab longbox Ranger XLT was the pinnacle of cool for these trucks. This one in particular is just a real gorgeous machine to behold. You know I am serious about feeling that this is the epitome for these trucks because, in the last year, I've sold my F-350 Supercab, F-250 Highboy 4x4, F-250 Crewcab shortbox, F-150, and even my good old '78 Bronco. Asides from one more low mileage F-150, this is my last vintage Ford truck. We've also sold quite a number of our classic cars. Please check my feedback. You'll see comments from 13 overjoyed buyers. Condition: This is not a restored vehicle. Personally, I prefer unrestored vehicles 100/1. They've beat all odds. Unrestored original vehicles are true classics and valuable collector pieces in my eyes. They call them "survivors". I call them valuable. Also, I call them difficult to find. Their unique blemishes and character flaws are their pedigree. This truck, being 40 years old, certainly has it's pedigree. It's not perfect but, it's perfectly nice. As expected, it has a few blemishes but nothing typical. I think it's in pretty great condition considering. I've photographed 2 small rust bubbles that can each be covered with a nickle, and 2 paint chips that are about half a dime in size. There's some scaling inside the bed, with 2 small perforations under the bedmat. Please refer to pictures. To be on the safe side, I always tend to rate anything I'm selling as a 1/10 in condition and appearance. Please assume this truck is the same. Top dollar is never my objective. I'd rather have a happy and enjoyable transaction (once again, please see my feedback). I would encourage anyone to come view in person and invite any 3rd party appraisals. Please review the photos carefully. I am not a professional salesman or photographer but, have tried my best. My feedback is an excellent resource. I have a darned good record of making people happy so far, and have absolutely no intent on tarnishing that reputation. Good luck fellow enthusiasts, and happy bidding! Just wanted to be clear. Thank you.
