Vehicle Detail
I bought this car in April 2012. I had the engine professionally rebuilt. The odometer showed 67,742. It now shows 68,157miles. The mileage could be 168,157, I do not know. Title showed 69,742 but that is in error. The car still doesn't have that many miles on it. The transmission was professionally rebuilt at the same time, different mechanics. The engine cost was $1417.50, the transmission was $846.29 included new fly wheel and torque convertor. I have all of the receipts for parts and rebuilds. The overhaul charges do not include labor for removal or reinstalling. Other new parts include starter, lifetime warranty, oil sending unit, temperature sending unit, alternator, rebuilt water pump, new Edelbrock carburetor for $363.08, all new tune up components, battery cable ends, starter solenoid, rear brake shoes, distributor, vacuum hoses, master brake cylinder, hoses and clamps, new radiator, front brake pads, lifetime warranty, radiator cap, heater core(radiator), Power steering pump (crank shaft mounted) , very expensive, it was new. Replaced brake booster, bought different carburetor for $342.39 at O'Riellys, new rubber gas line and hose clamps, 4 new tires on 6-11-15. That's all I have listed. The car came with a new gas tank already installed. I have put roughly 500 miles on this car since all of the work was done. I have not driven the car in about 8 months. I have charged the battery periodically and cranked the engine to keep it lubricated and performed an oil change and filter change. Amsoil oil and filter. 100% synthetic oil. The last time I drove it, the car acted as if the fuel filter were dirty or the carburetor out of adjustment. Another possibility is a hole in the metal gas line sucking air with the fuel. I do not know which but it should be fairly cheap to correct. The car drove excellently, the transmission performed extremely well, drove smooth, floated down the highway like riding on air. The car is going to need a considerable amount of body work. The vinyl top has been removed ant the top painted, poorly done. The rear fender wells need repaired. The passenger door panel was broken and has been removed and is in the back seat. The power seats, windows, locks, power antenna all worked when I first started driving it. The car has been sitting for a long time and often the switches don't work properly for a while after put back into use. The door panel on the passenger side is off so these switches will not work until reinstalled. The seats, floor covering, head liner to my recollection are in good condition. The headlight covers are operated by vacuum and do leak off. Probably needs hoses, not sure. I am tired of seeing the car sit out in the yard going to waste. I want to sell it to a new owner that will give it the care and attention that it needs. I am guaranteeing nothing. It is sold as is. I do have all the receipts for the parts and will include them with the title to the new owner. Please check out the pictures and ask any questions before bidding. A non refundable deposit of $250.00 is required within 48 hours of auctions end. Bring a trailer to haul it away on. The rear opera windows have been added, before I bought the car. I have nearly $7000.00 in this car.
