Vehicle Detail
I bought this awhile back because I wanted to drive/own a 500hp sports car before I died, and I enjoy driving it, but I think it is time for me to get rid of it before I get a major ticket / jail time. Everything works, A/C, radio, windows, locks, alarm remote (and I disabled the beep the horn every time you arm it, because I hate that, but you can change it back... you can tell it is armed because the lights blink). It drives straight, brakes well, and it is very fast, and it will get you into trouble very quickly... it goes 80 in second, and it has 6 gears, so... I think it accelerates as fast in 3rd and 4th as well as it does in 1st and 2nd, needless to say, you probably shouldn't be going faster than 140-150 anyways... :) The paint is called plastic-dip or something, and it is not glossy, and not the best of shape, so this is not a show car (pics all taken today, 14th); the factory color is silver. It was hit in the back and that is why there is a different back on it... with that back and the hood, it looks more like a 2010 Viper. The trunk lid needs new shocks according to previous owner, so there is a bungee cord in there, but I never open trunk, so I didn't care about fixing. There are different tires in back, but still decent amount of tread on all tires that I didn't care about replacing them either. The driver's seat is a little messed up by left rib area from getting in and out, but it was like that when I bought it, and doesn't bother me, so also not worth replacing (seats also have the 6 point seat belts that I don't use, so I kind of tucked them away). This is not a perfect Viper, but if you want to own a cheap "exotic" that should last a long time (and no $5,000-$10,000 timing belts to replace every 3 years like others), because it only has 9500 miles (might be slightly above that if I drive it a couple more times), and it is a 2005, and 1995 Vipers still go around $20k, so this is 10 years newer than those... you could drive it for 10 years, put on 50k miles, and it should still sell around $20k, or more since they aren't supposed to be making them anymore. The factory color is silver, but I would recommend leaving paint the way it is; it still looks nice enough that people give you the thumb up a lot, or tell you it's a nice car from across the street or cars next to you. :) I have enjoyed it, so hopefully someone else will check this off their bucket list also and buy this, because I really don't need anymore... make an offer only if you can pay for it. There will be a $1000 deposit that is non-refundable, and must be paid within 24hrs of agreed offer/end of auction. The remaining balance should be a cashier's check from a bank I can call and verify funds upon picking it up, or cash is fine also. I will pick you up from airport (BNA) or Greyhound bus station if you want to drive it home. On a side note, the way I treat this car is I start it up, let it idle for a minute or two, maybe 3-4 if cooler, take it easy for first 10-15min before ever punching it, never try to spin tires or shift fast, and I would suggest you do the same... Update 11-17-16: I just put the top down and drove around for the first time because someone asked if the top worked. So, I also wanted to know if it would stay put at higher speeds, and it does (I tested to 120). I never have been a fan of convertibles, but now that I actually drove this thing around, it's not too bad, I kind of liked driving it around even more, mainly because it has a TOTALLY different feel when driving around... sun is great, too. I added some more pics with top down, and I combined some engine pics because they only allow 24 pics. BTW, I'm not selling for 20k or 21k, and probably not 24k... I'm still trying to figure out how much below 28k I am willing to go. I don't mind losing a little money for the experience, but apparently a lot of you think this is a 1995 with 60k miles instead of a 2005 with 9k miles.
