1987 Toyota Pickup in excellent condition. This truck has been a one family owned vehicle. It was owned by mother from 1987 until 2002, upon which it was titled to my brother or myself since. This truck has served as a backup truck for the family and has always been GARAGED its entire life. You can notice from the photos the condition of the dash board. No cracking exists. Seats are in very good condition with not rips and the AC works and will literally freeze you out. Recent work on the truck includes having the carburetor rebuilt (1/2013), and the front suspension totally reworked with new bushings, tie rods, idler arm, and new front wheel bearings (5/13/2012 and 1/25/2014). Four new tires were installed at 60,710 miles, so that is less than 3,400 miles on the tires, which were purchased on 1/25/2014. Other maintenance performed for 2014 includes new belts and alignment. A new power steering unit was installed in 2012 and a rebuilt starter and new battery were installed less than 12 months ago. The paint on the truck is original. It has never been in an accident, so all parts are original. There is also a bed liner that is in excellent condition with no cracks in the liner. The transmission is strong and has no issues. It is an automatic on the column. There is a button on the shifter so that you can turn the overdrive on and off. The chassis is good and solid with no rust. The engine is also strong and the oil has been changed regularly. This truck is in outstanding condition and this is all due to the truck being garaged kept its entire life. This truck has been treated with tender loving care for its 30 year life. We’ve decided to sell the truck because we really do not use it much and have two vehicles in the family already. While this may not be the typical collector’s truck, it is probably one of the cleanest and original 1987 Toyota Pickups around, with only 64,094 miles. That is averaging under 2,200 miles a year. This truck is ready to drive. The blower for the AC/Heater has 3 speeds. The switch does not work on the low speed, but works fine on the medium and high speeds; and other than a small exhaust leak, there are no other issues known on this truck. All gauges, wipers, lights, horn, washer fluid spray, AC/Heater, and tailgate are in good working order. While the radio is not the greatest, it too works. The truck also does not leak any oil, so your driveway will stay clean. The truck has a 22R engine, which have been known to be almost indestructible. The truck starts easily and is very reliable.
