Vehicle Detail
Hello eBay users. Up for sale is undisputedly one of the most sought after, recognizable, and iconic muscle cars ever... a 1969 Dodge Charger. This car was originally a triple tan colored car (Dark Bronze Metallic paint, tan interior, tan vinyl roof). It has been converted into what you see now... Triple Black. In my opinion no other color can compare to black on these 69 Chargers. As you can see the paint is extremely nice. There was a lot of time spent on making sure this car was straight and true as black paint shows every imperfection. The car shows beautifully and is bound to impress anywhere you go. This Charger is a "A47" car which indicates a Special Edition car. The Special Edition cars were given front seat leather inserts, chrome rocker moldings, wood grain steering wheels, and wood grain inserts on the instrument panel. As you can see from the photos of the undercarriage and floors this car was NOT a rust bucket. The frame is solid as a rock and still retains its original undercoating with only minimal surface rust. The floors still hold the original Dark Bronze Metallic Paint. The only floor work that was done was a partial drivers side floor pan as water must have gotten inside the car sometime over the years which required a partial drivers side floor pan. The AMD partial floor panel was professionally and seamlessly installed. The vinyl roof is original and was dyed black. All the trim chrome shows very well and has only minor pitting which can only be seen in certain spots up close. The bumpers are decent but could use a rechrome. They are dent free and terrific candidates for a rechrome. They still show very well as you can see from the photos but up close they do show the typical fading. The drive line is all original. The original 318 engine and 904 transmission are VIN stamped and numbers matching to the car. The engine and valve covers still retain its original paint. The car still retains its original 2 Barrel Carburetor which still has its original carb tag on it. Although the small block 318 engine may not be the most desirable engine option it is very rare to find one still in one of these cars... especially a matching number drive line. Most of these small blocks were taken out and replaced with a 383 or 440. The engine has been tuned up and the carb has been rebuilt. It runs very well and the original radiator keeps this engine below 140 degrees even after driving for long trips. Whatever these 318 engines lack in power they make up for in reliability (and gas mileage!) The car runs and drives very well. As far as I know the engine or transmission have never been taken apart or rebuilt. The seats, carpet, and headliner are all brand new. The dash is all original and was just painted black. There are no cracks or wear in the dash as you can see... it is beautiful. All the gauges work and the clock works intermittently. The AM radio still works perfectly and picks up local stations with ease! The tires have less than 1500 miles on them and are in great shape. You will not be disappointed. Whether you are looking for a very original 1969 Charger or you are looking for a solid car that you can put a big block in you can't go wrong. If you keep the original drive line then put a big block in it you would only increase the cars value. If you wanted to keep it with the original drive line and just enjoy it you will be hard pressed to find a better investment in a muscle car. Please check my feedback as I have sold many high dollar muscle cars in the past with nothing but positive feedback. I welcome all buyers whether you are here in the US or outside the US. I will assist in any way I can with shipping arrangements. If you have any questions please feel free to call me on my cell phone 315-868-7452. I also have the eBay app on my phone so if you send a question I will be able to respond promptly. I will entertain offers throughout the auction and I may take partial trades depending on what you have. The only thing I am really interested in is another muscle car project or possibly a very nice snowmobile as a partial trade. The car is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. The reserve is set very reasonably for a car like this as I am not looking to get rich I am just looking to sell the car to someone who will enjoy it and so I can move on to another project. Terms of the auction: Please only bid if you have the funds to pay for the car. eBay auctions cost money to run so please be serious if you are bidding. If you have 0 or negative feedback I will cancel your bid unless you contact me prior to bidding. A $500.00 deposit via PayPal will be paid within 24 hours of the auctions end unless a separate arrangement has been made with me. This deposit is non-refundable. The car is being sold as-is where is. I welcome any potential buyer to come and inspect the car and I will do my best to make myself available. This car is not a trailer queen, rotisserie restoration, or a $100,000 nut and bolt restoration. It is a beautiful driver quality triple black small block 1969 Charger and is priced accordingly. Bid to win and good luck! The winner will not be disappointed.
