1986 Honda Gold Wing

This is a Special Edition Gold wing with fuel injection. This bike is in used condition. I am the third owner and the bike has less than 12,000 miles. The previous owner and I have had the bike stored in a garage, but it is obvious that the original owner left the bike in the elements, which is noticeable in the finish on the chrome and plastics. Much of the chrome is rusted on the surface, which could be greatly reduced with some time and polishing, but all chrome and metal is solid. Some of the plastics on the dash and tank display are cracked or blemished. The right side, dash pocket is missing but has been replaced from a panel from a different model Gl1200. On the left side saddle bag, the original owner made a repair that is obvious but could be touched up much better. I have the bike currently registered and have had it on a few 20 mile drives where it has handled wonderfully. I have had brand new Kenda front and rear tires installed and a fresh oil and filter change. Right now the speedometer is not working from what I have determined to be a faulty speed sensor. The CB is also inoperable although I have not tried to trouble shoot it. The on board air compressor is working and the back suspension will air up flawlessly, but there shows to be an error when airing up the front suspension. All blinkers and lights are working but some of the switches are not contacting well due to the bike not being ridden for some time. The more that I ride it, the more the switches work properly. I believe that some cleaning and more use will bring them around. The seat is in great condition, and the radio and tape player are working. Overall, the bike has a lot of life and could make a great cruiser for many years with some work and care. It is very hard to find one of these with so little miles.
