Vehicle Detail

Please scroll down below this description for tons of detailed pics of the bike. Depending on your internet speed, they may take a while to load. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will add you to the list that allows you to bid. This R75/5 Toaster tank is a really nice rider. It looks gorgeous from ten feet away but it's not a perfect show bike that you'd have to worry about using it as an everyday bike. If you look closely, you'll see that it was originally the copper color but was painted black at some point. The front fender has been repainted more recently than the tank and the rear fender. We installed new Hagon rear shocks, changed the front and rear tires, and gave it a detailed multi-point inspection to make sure it is ready for its new owner to put on plenty of carefree miles. It fires up easily, warms up quickly and settles down to a nice, lazy idle. It has plenty of smooth power. The clutch engages nicely, and it shifts through all the gears smoothly. Everything on the bike is working as it should. The engine and frame numbers match. There are 158 pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 773-474-1744, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact him through ebay. It's located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 773-474-1744 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Our recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823. If you are an Illinois resident, we must process the title application for you (it is the same cost as if you bought it from a private party). If you are an Illinois resident or a resident of any of the states that reciprocate with Illinois on vehicle tax, we must collect sales tax on the vehicle based on the tax rate of your state (Arizona: 5.6%, California: 6.25%, Florida: 6%, Hawaii: 4%, Indiana: 6.25%, Massachusetts: 6.25%, Michigan: 6%, South Carolina: 5%). If you are not an Illinois resident, we must issue a $10 temporary license plate. No matter what state you live in, we have a documentation fee of $165. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We can deliver it locally for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact us first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that.
