Vehicle Detail
1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic - No Reserve 305 V8 EFI, 62,577 miles. This is a great car and solid all around. I love driving this car especially on long trips but bought a new car and don’t have enough room. If I had a three car garage I would keep it. Features on it include: · AC – works great since I had new compressor and re-charged. · Cruise · AM/FM stereo · Other – Power steering, brakes, adjustable steering column, reading lights, trunk latch button, intermittent wipers, clock, and gas fills behind the rear license plate. We've driven it out-of-state several times and rides smooth on the interstate. Work done the past two years include new exhaust, AC compressor, serpentine belt, transmission work, and alternator. I have receipts for all the work. There are minor dings and scratches, and I will attempt to show you in pics, but overall it is in great shape. I’ve looked this car over closely the past two years I’ve owned it and cannot find anywhere that it seems to have been in a bad accident or other surprise things you don’t want to find. When I bought it on EBay in April 2014, I also ordered one of those vehicle history reports because I wondered if the miles were original. The report didn’t help much, not sure if it was due to the age of the car that it seemed incomplete, so I took it in to a mechanic and he felt the miles were legitimate after checking it. Other things to consider sometime down the road include headliner starting to pull away, and new seals on valve stems. It has some blue exhaust when first starting cold then stops (see video link on YouTube below to see it). Uses maybe half a quart at 3,000 – 4,000 miles. When I took the car initially in to have new seals put in, the mechanic suggested I wait to see how much oil it actually used. After driving it awhile and I told the mechanic, he suggested not doing anything and that it was from the car had sat too much. It works great and I’ve put 20,000 miles or more on it since then. We’ve driven it from Iowa to Michigan, Texas, etc. It is really a lot of fun and I hope whoever gets it enjoys it as much as we have. https://youtu.be/hCmci703e5k
