Vehicle Detail

1974 Ford F-250 Crew CabShortbox "Old School"Surf & Rentals (Hotrod theme truck) Truck is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Only about 3 hrs north of Montana. Because of it's "Antique" status, it is free to travel to travel without restriction worldwide. (PLEASE DO NOT WRITE TO ME ASKING WHAT IT NEEDS TO GET INTO THE STATES... answer is, it needs nothing). This truck can travel from Canada to the States almost as freely as a bird from state to state.I've sold our vehicles to the U.S. and some worldwide now. There's been zero problem. Check my feedback. EVERYONE'S BEEN HAPPY!!! For sale by PRIVATE OWNER Super cool and fun vintage pickup. Very retro. Paint aged by time, then professionally enhanced. My intention was for this truck to look like a brand new distressed leather jacket. I had the entire truck wetsanded, then buffed through in select areas to give it that desired "patina" look. Finally, it was thoroughly polished in stages to an ultra high sheen lustre. The final product is marvelous. It has that epic "aged by time" vintage hotrod look, but... is smooth as glass! Vision was to finish the interior upholstery to a very high degree, with a new carpet kit I have, and upholster the seats in a combination of marine vinyl, top grain leather, and exotic skins for a retro-modern, Hillbilly Tex meets George Jetson, type look. I have an enormous collection of NOS parts for this truck. The drivetrain of this truck has been completely gone through. It has been tuned exactly, as well as having all new fluids (engine, trans, radiator, steering, brakes, differential... all new, all synthetic), and an entire plethora of small parts that are too lengthy to list (they include, but are not limited to.... Nearly all gaskets, belts, filters, wires, plugs, hoses); every single thing that it may, or may not have, needed has been done. No corners were cut making this truck dependable, run perfect, and drive excellent. The big 460 engine produces some great power. High performance modifications include: a larger camshaft, aluminum intake, and Edelbrock carburetor. Also, it has headers and dual exhaust. It idles quietly with that fabulous "rumpetty-rump" sound but, it's crisp, fast revving, and throaty. It sounds just like it should and totally like you would expect. It's a sound that can be heard, as well as felt. I'd describe it as incredibly visceral. This truck has no problem pulling the biggest wakeboard boat or car-hauler trailer. It will scorch the treads with relative ease, should you (intentionally, or not) stomp the throttle too quickly. I hate to sell this truck but, we have to. We've sold off most of our cars, and then unexpectedly been offered a couple others that I thought I'd never have. Add to that, we've been entrusted with another family heirloom collector vehicle. Regretfully, my funds and space are not limitless. I'll tell you... We have some highly restored, and very fine survivor cars and trucks but, nothing that has given me the giggles and thrills that this 'ol beastie consistently has. I've always loved the '73-79 Ford trucks. With this one... I just love the colour, stance, and character. It's like a cartoon truck that's come to life. Lol. The power and sound just put it over the top. It is puuuure character and, easily lovable. I think it absolutely epitomizes groovy-cool. It's my hope that you will have as much fun with it as we certainly have. Take care, and happy bidding! On Sep-25-16 at 20:55:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm still getting questions about importing the truck to the U.S. Folks.... There is nothing special involved. There are no "procedures". This truck is exempt from any restriction. There's no emissions, and there's nothing that needs changed. I just want to be absolutely clear about that. In fact, until very recently..... This was a U.S. truck. This truck was the poster child for a Northwest American RV dealership & Tourism. It was last registered in the States, and can be titled back.On Oct-01-16 at 17:27:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention everyone...... NEWLY LOWERED RESERVE. Motivated seller!!!
