She's been an amazing and reliable car the whole time I've had her. I had the car for over two years, and in the meantime, I've done a hell lot of work on her. I bought her in bad running condition from a customer, and since then, I've replaced.... --ECU --Camshaft and crankshaft sensors --MAF (I had those in stock, so it isn't listed on my expense record) --Front and rear O2 sensors (same as above) --Fuel pump (had in stock, not listed in expense) --Fuel filter --Radiator --Aux water pump --Duovalve heater valve --Fan clutch --Spark plugs --Air filter --Cabin air filter --Charcoal cabin air filter --Sway bar bushings --Sway bar linkages --Lower ball joints --Countless oil changes --Radiator flush and replaced with new MB coolant --Brake fluid flush --Power steering fluid flush --Transmission oil change --Differential oil change --Both front and rear flex discs replaced --Shift interlock solenoid --Headgasket --Timing cover gasket --14x new head bolts with washers --Valve cover gasket --Valve cover half-moon rubber pieces --Spark plug boots for all 6 spark plugs --Transmission valve body rebuilt with new Sonnax rebuild kit --Shift regulator spring replaced (for smoother 1-2 gear shift) --Catalyst converters replaced to pass smog --Idler pulley --Idler tensioner pulley --Front wheel bearings She doesn't look like much, but she runs like a beauty. Idle is rock solid at 700 rpm, 600 when in Drive. She idles so smoothly that you wouldn't know it's on unless you look in cluster. Those Germans made this car with the autobahn in mind, so she'll do 130 everyday, all day long without a single complaint or hiccup. She has great passing power....if you're stuck behind an 18 wheeler on the freeway and floor the gas, by the time you clear the truck you'll be doing 100mph. Great on gas, gets 24-27 MPG on average. 400-500 miles range on a single tank is not uncommon. AC is ice cold and heater is hot. This is the last Mercedes with the famous M104 inline-6 engine. MB is no longer making any inline-6 gasoline engines....ever. In my opinion, this M104 engine is the best engine MB ever made, bar none. Of course, she's 19 years old, so she's not perfect. Previous owner neglected the car by leaving her outside in the sun for years, so the clear coat is peeling on the roof and trunk. She has bumper scrapes thanks to my sister's less than perfect driving. She is rust free in all aspect except for a tiny rust spot on the hood because a truck kicked out a big rock in front of me on the freeway and it hit the hood hard enough to scrape the paint. The clear coat around that is peeling. Other than a couple scrapes on the paint and whatsnot, she cleans up nicely. She's old and worn, but she'll outlast half of the cars on the road and outrun the rest. I have no reason to believe that she won't go for another 50,000 miles without needing work. No oil leaks! When I bought her she leaked oil like a sieve. A headgasket job, along with transmission plugs, pan gasket and shifter solenoid fixed all oil leaks. She runs so clean that even after 5000 miles, the oil is still gold. Windshield washer pump is cracked, so it will leak up to a point. Very common problem with this car. I haven't gotten around to replacing it. Tires still have plenty of life in them, though the rear tires will need to be replaced in about 6 months or so. Full size spare tire is in the trunk with factory jack and wrench. Tags are paid until 2017. I've recently smogged the car and it passed with flying colors. All service history is listed in an excel sheet doc that I maintain every time I work on it. It's available upon request and I will pass it on to the lucky buyer. Clean title. I'm selling because I have too many cars as it is. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. You're more than welcome to come by and see the car, I can put it on my lift and you can inspect it yourself....or take it to your mechanic and have him inspect it. Note: The car has a special interest vanity plate, I will retain that.
