Vehicle Detail
Please scroll down below this description for tons of detailed pics of the bike. Depending on your internet speed, they may take a while to load. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will add you to the list that allows you to bid. This is an R75/5 cafe racer hot rod that has an R60/6 engine that has been modified with R90S internals and carburetors. It combines the gorgeous looks of the Slash 5 Toaster Tank with the juicy performance of the legendary R90S. The valves and carburetors have been adjusted, the battery, both tires, spark plugs, air filter, and charging system rotor have been replaced, and the engine oil, transmission oil, and final drive oil have all just been changed. There is a little exhaust leak where one of the headers meets the engine, but it runs great with tons of power. The transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly. It has a Corbin cafe racer seat. The saddlebag lids rattle a bit going over bumps. Everything on the bike is working as it should. There are 135 pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 773-474-1744, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact him through ebay. It's located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 773-474-1744 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Our recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823. If you are an Illinois resident, we must process the title application for you (it is the same cost as if you bought it from a private party). If you are an Illinois resident or a resident of any of the states that reciprocate with Illinois on vehicle tax, we must collect sales tax on the vehicle based on the tax rate of your state (Arizona: 5.6%, California: 6.25%, Florida: 6%, Hawaii: 4%, Indiana: 6.25%, Massachusetts: 6.25%, Michigan: 6%, South Carolina: 5%). No matter what state you live in, we have a documentation fee of $165. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We can deliver it locally for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact us first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that.
