Vehicle Detail

Relisted due to non-payment. What I have for sale is a 1997 Chevrolet K1500 Suburban LS. It has a 4L60E transmission as well as the 5.7L Vortec 350. Being that it is the K1500 it has 4wd as opposed to the C1500 which is RWD. It was also optioned with rear heat and AC as well as a third row seat, however the actual seat did not come with the car when I bought it. For the most part the SUV is relatively clean, but, as you would expect in a 19 year old New England vehicle, there is some rust present, dings and dents, I would encourage you to examine the pictures to get a good idea of the overall condition of the SUV and please ask any questions before bidding. The previous owner put on the LT315/70R17 Bf Goodrich All-Terrain T/A, and in the process did some damage to the fender flares as well as an area around the wheel well opening, again I will try my best to capture these things in the photos. It currently has a set of Harbor Freight off-road lights as well as Harbor Freight fog lights, but the wiring needs to be finished and fastened better than it currently is. The battery was replaced approximately six months ago, within the last two years the front calipers as well as the rotors and pads were changed. Around the same time the power steering fluid as well as the brake fluid were changed. The previous owner replaced the exhaust manifolds with smog headers, at the same time they replaced the rest of the exhaust system including the catalytic converters. The truck starts right up every time. Recently I have been having a problem with the transmission, at this time the SUV will start and move however it seems to have some difficulty shifting between gears. What seems to happen is the RPMs go beyond the normal shift point and to the redline, most of the time if you take your foot off the gas and them plant it back hard down it will shift into the next gear. Since I noticed this problem the truck has not been driven, it has for the most part been sitting in my garage, until quite recently when I put my daily driver back in. I am selling this SUV as is where is, there is no warranty. I know for the most part these SUVs tend to be relatively reliable and tough, so this K1500 will probably make someone a great daily driver or off roader with some work. Thanks for looking.
