Vehicle Detail

2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser First-Year All-Option Silver Limited Edition 78K miles This is an all-option, first year of production, PT Cruiser with just over 78,000 miles. It's a great car, I'm only selling it because I'm moving to New York and won't need a car in the city. I'm the second owner. The reason the miles are so low is because it was originally bought by a wealthy couple as a grocery getter for their second home in Arizona, and consequently sat in a garage most of its life. I was working for them and didn't have a reliable car, and they had it transported to Seattle and gave it to me as a gift. If you like PT Cruisers, this is an exceptional one. I'm pretty sure it has every option that was available that model year, including anti-lock (ABS) four-wheel disc brakes, leather interior, power sunroof, stereo, and air conditioning (AC). The engine is strong and smooth. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. The ABS brakes are very sure-footed and stop the car on a dime. For the practically minded, the best parts about the design are the huge liftgate and strong heater. The heater comes on faster and stronger than the one in my husband's Audi. The AC blows cold. I've kept it clean, so it's in excellent condition, very clean inside and out. The engine and transmission have no leaks. I've had it serviced regularly, and we just changed the timing belt, so the next owner won't have to worry about that (we also replaced the water pump, and put in new engine seals — the cost was over $1,600, in July 2016, see the details in the receipt in the photos). I've also had the transmission rebuilt, replaced the dashboard wiring harness, refreshed the brakes, installed new liftgate supports, and replaced the windshield. The only thing it might need anytime soon are new tires. I am happy to put it on a transport for shipping. Please ask questions and happy bidding! On Jul-27-16 at 11:39:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Update About the air conditioning: turns on quickly and blows cold air. It had to be recharged when the timing belt was replaced, this month (July 2016).
