Vehicle Detail
Selling my baby. I bought this new in 2003 and it has been a great motorcycle! This machine has enjoyed the beaches of California and the mountain tops of Utah and Colorado. Some commuting, some long distance riding. I've ridden it consistently for the last 13 years, about 4,000 miles per year. 2003 Honda Shadow ACE Deluxe745cc47,085 milesone owneraftermarket Vance & Hines exhaust pipes -- loud -- installed in 2008aftermarket windshield -- attach and detach by handaftermarket passenger backrest -- attach and detach with tools This bike looks and sounds bigger than most 750cc bikes. * Good condition* Good tire tread* Always garaged* Always maintained* New upholstery on driver and passenger seat (the photos show the passenger seat BEFORE the new upholstery)* It's been laid down 4 times, 3 of which happened in the first two years. Three of those times, it was laid down at a stand still. The 4th time, I slid on ice while riding in winter, so the bike slid several yards on its right side on a residential street. I replaced the exhaust pipe a few years after this happened, so the exhaust pipe still looks great.* The bike has never been in a collision.* The back fender has a scratch where the backseat attaches, only visible when the backseat is removed. (see photo)* The front left of the gas tank has a chip. This was from the handbrake of another bike that scratched it while transporting the two motorcycles together on a trailer. (see photo)* The left mirror is scratched from when it was laid down. (see photo) * The corner of the brake fluid reservoir was rubbed off when it was laid down. (see photo)* The front fender has chips on the front lower edge, both sides (see photos)* The columns of the fork are no longer smooth chrome. (see photos)* In 2007, vandals poured a bucket of latex paint on the motorcycle while it was parked outside a friend's house. The paint cleaned off well, but paint flecks are still visible on the chassis, the chain guard, the backside of the radiator, etc. (see photos)* The chain is in good condition but sounds like it currently needs to be tightened.* This bike still looks great and run great. I'll miss it, but it's time to part ways. On Jul-19-16 at 11:17:09 PDT, seller added the following information: July 19, 11:00am: Added 2 new photos showing the reupholstered backseat. Notice that the backseat has a rippled texture due to normal wear and tear in the underlying foam. The surface is brand new. Also notice that the passenger safety strap was NOT replaced. It's bolted on with unremovable bolts. The strap is in good condition but has a brown spot from the latex paint mentioned above. Also added 2 new photos showing the included manuals and tools. Also, in addition to payment in cash or cashier's check, I will also accept Bitcoin. On Jul-19-16 at 11:36:37 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI this motorcycle has a Colorado title. On Jul-22-16 at 10:24:30 PDT, seller added the following information: A few more things: * This motorcycle is currently registered in Nevada. The Nevada registration expires this week on July 29. * This motorcycle is titled in Colorado. Nevada allows out-of-state titles, which I learned last year when I moved to Nevada. See dmvnv DOT com /newresident.htm for more information. * I installed a new headlight bulb this week on Monday. * I will most likely cancel bids from eBay users with little or no history. If you're new to eBay and really want to bid on this motorcycle, send me a message. I may allow it if I know you're serious about your bid. On Jul-24-16 at 00:13:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I was reminded of one more thing: there's a bolt missing from the gauge cover, between the speedometer and handle bars. You can see this in photo #7.
