Vehicle Detail

Hello All, up for sale is my 1971 Nova SS... this is a REAL SS and I can prove it. Car came from out West and had been re-painted about 15 years ago, paint and car is not perfect and I would consider it a good cruiser.... that's what I have been doing with it. Original numbers matching engine had been taken out and dis-assembled to be re-built / hopped up but never was completed. The block had been cleaned up (no boring or decking) and had new cam bearings installed and has been in a plastic bag covered in oil / grease ever since. The crank, rods and pistons are there along with the heads... the rest of it was used to put together a GM 260 hp crate 350 and that is the current engine in the car---has about 1000 miles on it and runs great. Transmission is the factory original M21 Muncie and shifts fine, rearend is the original 12 bolt 3.55 Posi. Car was ordered with black paint, black interior / carpet and was ordered with the VINYL ROOF DELETE---it never had one . All SS's came standard with them but the original owner said "no way" on this car... Whats wrong with car--- Gas tank was dropped, cleaned and re-installed---gas gauge quit reading shortly after that and I simply keep track of the gas using the odometer. Heater controls are stiff---previous owner broke the fan control knob off the cable---I left well enough alone as I didn't need de-frost or heat... Wipers don't work----original wiper motor in car, I never found time to look at electrical / wiring or to pull the motor out and get it rebuilt / repaired Radio is Motorola 8 Track from god knows when--it works but needs to be taken out & cleaned as its static prone when turning knobs Car has air-shocks installed by previous owner, the line broke once and car dropped down onto the oversize rear tires and blistered the paint when the quarters heated up. I didn't install shocks and the blistering didn't happen on my watch. Car is essentially rust free with original sheet metal throughout, it is a cruiser and a real SS, it is not a perfect show car, you can simply go out and have a good time with it without having to worry about scratches or dents--it already has a few small ones installed for free!!! This car is a "plain jane" SS, meaning---no console, no gauges, dual bench seats, no chrome window trim, no vinyl roof---BUT IT IS TRIPLE BLACK and has the potential to be numbers matching should the original included engine be put back together and in. I don't know what else to say---I really have mixed feelings selling it but have decided to put it here and see what happens.
