1986 Mercedes 560SL Roadster. Up for sale is a beautiful, original classic Mercedes 560sl roadster. This car has been babied its entire life. Always garaged and covered. This is not like other comparable cars in which it has sat in a garage for most of it’s life. This car has been driven regularly and always properly serviced at a Mercedes specialized mechanic. This is a well-maintained, very original 560SL. It is mechanically excellent and runs strong and fast. This is an unmolested, rust-free, and accident-free car from California in a rare color combination. Features- -Rare Cabernet Red Metallic paint (587 pajett rot) with Creme Beige interior (275 cremebeige) -150,042 miles -Original paint with no accidents or other damage -All original matching numbers and panels -Complete set of original books, manuals, and tools -Rust free Exterior Condition: The Cabernet Red Metallic paint appears to be 100% original. There are a few minor blemishes and areas with minor clear coat issues, please see the photos. All chrome trim is present and shines nicely, without any significant wear or damage. The soft top is original in perfect working condition. It looks like it has been hardly used. Even has the original medical kit. The trunk compartment is in original condition and excellent. The original pin striping has a few flaws near the gas fill up as seen in the photos. The original Daimler-Benz decal is still present on the windshield. Interior Condition: This car has been used so there is some signs of use in the interior. There is no major issues but the seats might need some love down the road. The carpets are original and excellent and without any major wear, tears, stains or fading. The dashboard is a little rough showing a few cracks from the sun. The sun visors are in good condition but a little faded. The door panels are original and undamaged. All instruments work properly. The switches, knobs, buttons, turn signal lever, cruise control, etc. are in working order.. The original Becker radio is present and in working order along with the correct original Hirschmann antenna. Both electric window regulators function well. Central locking functions. The air conditioning is cold and the heater and defroster operate properly. Mechanical Condition: This car starts, runs, drives, and handles fantastic. It has been driven regularly since new, and has never sat for any extended period of time. The engine is fast and strong, and does not burn oil. The transmission shifts crisply and smoothly. There are no driveline vibrations or noise. The suspension is tight and comfortable, and the steering is responsive and without any play. There are no pending maintenance issues. Tires are in newer, top of the line Michelin. This is a turn key classic that is ready for a new owner. Comes with a clean CA title, currently registered and just passed CA smog.
