FOR SALE – A 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Spider Convertible Enjoy this summer with a great and affordable convertible!!! This is a great used car!! Runs great, handles great and looks absolutely awesome!!! With its 3 liters, V6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission, this car is just a blast to drive. Has tons of power and sounds great - just like a sport car but without the price tag!! I purchased it with over 137K miles in February so have had it for about 5 months only. The car has been and continues to be well maintained. Did an oil change and a check-up right after I purchased it, and it’s been kept in a covered garage all along (and still is). Although it looks and feels like a sport car, this is a GT model so it is also great for commuting. I’ve used it primarily to commute between Califon NJ and Bethlehem PA (about 3 / 4 days a week). Much, much better than all the other cars I’ve had in the past …. To give you an idea – at 75 mph you’re a little over 2,500RPM, and at 80mph you’re at 3,000RPM. So you can go on long hauls with great speed and ease, and without pushing the car hard … In fact, this car purrs at 80mph!!! One more big advantage – although a coupe and a convertible, it has FWD - so no problems driving in the snow. In short, this is one of the most versatile cars I’ve had the chance to drive. It has a rating of 8.5 out of 10 on Kelly’s Blue Book. Some of the perks: - Great power – V6 / 3 liters engine- Front Wheel Drive (FWD)- 4 speed automatic transmission.- Cooper Tires – thread is very good (see photo).- Clean interior – no issues whatsoever.- Clean exterior – minors dings and dents as one would expect of 15 year old car.- Radio, CD and MP3.- Convertible (automatic opening/closing). Some of negatives: - “Maintenance” light is on – my mechanic said the EGR needs to be cleaned or replaced.- A little dent and some very minor scratches on the back bumper (see photo). One last thing – the previous owner installed a large exhaust so the car is a bit loud. Some will like it, others not, so I’ll let you decide if that’s a perk or a negative :-) As you can see from the photos, the car has 146,593 miles. Am still driving it so please expect a few more miles if and when you test / buy it. Am asking $2,600 which I personally think is crazy cheap for a convertible car that looks and runs that great.
