Vehicle Detail

Austin Healey Replica by Classic Roadsters. This is the MX model with flared fenders. This company was known for their quality Austin Healey and Cobra Replicas bodies and chassis. The chassis is essentially the same for their Cobra and Austin Healey bodies. I have read on one Cobra Forum (Club Cobra) where they adapted the Classic Roadsters Cobra body to a Sebring Chassis. They bolted a self made subframe structure to the frame to support the body. Classic Roadsters Sebring MX 5000 has a Ford 302 with Ford axles. The Ford Mustang II front suspension is known for excellent handling. The Sebring MX frame is well Engineered with welded floor pans for safety and rigidity. My late Father built this car and had it registered in California. He drove it back and forth from work. His health deteriorated and he was unable to drive the car. It was periodically started and run over the years. Always garaged, the tires are original with no cracks visible at all. The interior is immaculate. It is an extremely fast & fun car to drive! We have been storing it at my Brother's house and he now needs the garage back. My intent was to take it to our Mechanic and get it running. But we can't afford $100/mo to put it in storage. So as hard as it is to let it go, we would rather get it somebody's hands that will appreciate it and put it to good use. This is a California Car, always garaged. ZERO rust. These cars in running often list for $18K to $20K+. We used to run the vehicle periodically until it wouldn't start about 3 years ago. We drove it from one house to another shortly before that. The carburetor is definitely gummed up and I would drain the gas from the tank, along with changing out all fluids. Obviously I CAN'T guarantee that is all that is since it won't start, but that is all that I am aware of. The hood was also damaged when the latch failed. It broke the fiberglass on the inside of the hood. I would install hood pins It only has the soft top. I am willing to listen to offers, but NO LOW-BALL offers please. We are still in a position to hold on to it if needed to get a decent price.
