The dealership we bought it from said it was normal. My husband and I no nothing about mechanics other than the basics. Last year we took the car in when we noticed some leaking and Wissler Motors fixed any leaks that were found. We have all receipts for the work done on the car. My son drove it daily but for the past month it has sat most of the time. We drive it weekly so it's not just sitting. We honestly do not have any mechanical knowledge and I cannot answer your question about the gasket. That's why the listing states to come see and drive for yourself so you can determine if/what there is wrong. Sorry I can't be of more help. The best I can offer is to come take a look for yourself, although going by your phone number you're quite a ways away. Would you still like my husband to call? ANSWER 2: In an attempt to try to better answer your question, my husband called the dealership where we had work done. They replaced the 2 valve cover gaskets but not head gaskets. We looked up head gasket leaking and it states there would be white smoke or over heating. The car has never over heated, and there is no white smoke coming out the back. I'm not saying the head gaskets are not having a problem because I don't know but I hope this information helps.
