Vehicle Detail

Up for sale I have a sage green 1977 VW Westfalia Camper. Let's start with the paint. Though it is the very desirable sage green factory color.......the exterior has had a not the greatest repaint at some point. Underneath is solid as well as the nose. There are some rust areas that could use repair at some point (rockers, outer doglegs, bottom or rear hatch) see pics. Nothing that will prohibit driving or camping of course.....so fix as u go or have fun as is! All glass is there and in good shape. Windshield does have a crack. Interior is very nice. All original. Sage green cushions appropriate to the year. Upper adult bunk. Driver seat does have a patch and could use reupholstered if u desirePropane is thereSink / StoveIce box / CoolerTable w/ swing armAll closetsThis is the deluxe model with all the bells n whistles interior.I have not tried the propaneThe one thing it does not have is the child's cot (brackets are there though) Brakes were all redone by PO (see pics)New Empi exhaust was purchased by PO also ($130 I'll leave receipt in glovebox) does have some light surface rust though. Just needs a light sanding and a rattlecan to look new. Steering feels tight. I have not tested it out on road though. Electrical seems good......all turn signals, brake lights, hazards, wipers, headlights, interior light, dome light all work.....(I have video) Pop top itself and cushion in good shape.......canvas does have a tear. Engine.....2.0L converted to single progressive carb. This vehicle does start right up and run. A friend says he thinks it needs a valve adjustment, valve seal or possibly a broken valve spring. I do not know as I am not a mechanic and have only had the bus for a very short time. Based on this I would say it needs to be looked at and gone through to be roadworthy. (See Video)This could be something easy and you will get a steal on a Westy here. Even if needs a big repair or rebuild its a great deal and priced accordingly. Note....even this bus starts and runs I would not attempt to drive it home. In my opinion it would be best to trailer it. On that note...it had a bad battery so I had to put my own battery in it to check electrical and start / run motor. It can be driven on to a trailer but will Not come with a battery. Do an advanced search here on EBay and see what the last 5-6 sage green Westys "sold" for!! One just sold for $7355 that's body was a nightmare! So here is a chance to grab a desirable 40 year old gem that is increasing in value by the day! This bus is being sold "AS IS" "WHERE IS" with no written or implied warranty. Important......I have videos and lots of extra pics (eBay limit is 24) so I encourage serious bidders to call me as I am posting my phone number to answer any questions and can send additional pics / vids.407. 721. 4473 Buyer is responsible for shipping.
