Hey there porsche collectors , here is a really great find in my opinion , 1970 porsche 911T targa ,I live in mcallen texas which is down on the mexican border , the car has been sitting in a garage right down the street from me for about 18 years , the previous owner is from mexico and he kept the car here at his brother in laws but just never used it basically so over the years i would offer to buy it and then we just never could get a price out of him so one day my phone rings and well he made me an offer that i could not pass up but i had just purchased 3 other classics and the timing is bad for me ., so i am going to sell it . the car was purchased about 20 or so years ago in massachusets and still has the mass title, the car has been under a carport and covered , the paint is all original in my opinion and it still shines where we kinda polished on it but it does have cracks on the hood and rear hatch, the car is totally rust free underneath but it does have a small rust spot about the size of a quarter inside where the right front battery is but not the floor , I just installed two new bosche batteries and a new starter and cleaned the fuel tank , the car started right up and sounds great no knocks or valve noise or even smoke ! The odometer shows only 63692 miles and i believe that is correct but it will not stay idling with out revving it up so the carbs no doudt need cleaned, the car has the very rare sportomatic transmission and i think that is cool but the car will not move so the transmission is not working but it was driven to where it was parked, it might be something simple but i don't know much about it although it does have the original sportomatic manual that i am reading . the targa top is in great shape, the interior is all there and original and will clean up pretty easily, the color combo is going to look great with the right polish job and spot paint . the tires are goodyear they match but they are old , the front trunk carpet is missing, the motor compartment is very nice and totally original and unmodified. we did change the oil . the glass and trim are excellent , the rear rubber bumper extension is cracked , THIS WILL BE A EASY RESTORATION AND WILL MAKE A FANTSATIC EXAMPLE . the original leather steering wheel is good , it has the original radio and it works, i do not have all the original manuals but i do have the porsche certificate of authenticity. any questions call jay at 956 624 2669 , do not bid if you can not pay right away , I AM GOING TO SELL IT . i can help you find shipping to almost anywhere in the world
