This 74 is a rare find and ready for a new home, the owner says let it go unreserved to a new home. The Chevrolet was purchased new by the original owner and has always been stored in a climate controlled facility. The Caprice has just over 100,000 miles since new, and mechanically the car still is in very good order. All the power windows work excellent, power top works great up and down, even the radio works excellent. Overall mechanically it is in great shape, drives down the road and is a great cruising car, recently driven 150 miles without a glitch. The undercarriage is solid all the way, obviously well taken care of over time. The interior is all original, everything in tact working, the seats are still in good shape and look presentable with some minor fading. The body panels are still in very good shape, look solid all the way. The exterior paint is in good shape and looks very nice, there is a scrape on the top part of the trunk, small dent in the hood hard to notice but worth mentioning. The chrome and trim is all solid all the way and in good shape and all original with typical wear for its age, again, an easy re-chrome of the bumpers would look even better if you choose. The engine is the factory 350 CID V8 and is all original, it runs and idles very well and still has good open end power, cruise down the interstate no issues. The transmission is the factory 3 speed and shifts as it should. The convertible top is in excellent shape, no rips or tears and functions excellent. The convertible boot fits snug as it should, the boot is original to the car so its not mint, rather good original shape. The spinners are original to the car, tires are in great shape. Overall this is a good running original Caprice Classic Convertible, mechanically sound with all power options functioning well.
