Here for your consideration is a 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA . It is equipped with the GT 390 engine, C-6 automatic transmission, power steering, bucket seats and console floor shifter. This is a great driving car. It needs cosmetic restoration, but can be driven dependably while in the process. I installed roller bearing upper control arms and spring seats as well as the matching lower control arms. This GT drives as well as any '60's muscle car I have driven. The brake system is new throughout. There is rust in the floorpans, lower quarters, and the trunk area as seen in the photos. The trunk lid is also rusty, but I have a beautiful rustfree lid that is included. I just like the look of the car with it's original trunk in place. The driver's door was lightly hit at some point and replaced with the door you see on it now. I have also shown the original door with the original data tag in place. I think the original door should be repaired and installed. I have the original hubcaps in addition to the Magnum 500 wheels on it. The 390 engine cranks instantly, the C-6 shifts great, and the brakes stop it very well without pulling to the left or right. The battery and alternator are new, as well as the wheel center caps and the grille emblem. The engine and transmission are original to this car. I have seen many restored show cars that do not drive as well as this Fairlane. It does need restoring, but is a blast to drive just as is. I have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction at any time. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay for this car within two weeks and also to provide transportation to it's new home. It is sold as is.
