Vehicle Detail
1978 GS750 for sale. No Reserve. This is the C model which is basically the same as the 77 B model apart from the available colors, the always on headlight, painted side covers to match tank, and metal trim on the seat. It is not the EC model. Clear title in my name. Comes with original owner's manual and a service manual. Recent service: The caliper was disassembled last fall, cleaned, and reassembled with genuine Suzuki sealsNOS Suzuki brake piston and new EBC organic brake pads installed with less than 100 miles on it. The front brake on the C model has the larger diameter bore compared to the EC model. The cylinder bore was very clean and in great shape and the front rotor is excellent.Fresh oil and Suzuki filter. New NGK plugs. The bike has less than 500 miles on new tires and tubes.Battery is current as of two years ago and has been on a float charger. This bike is very original and as far as I can tell, 100% stock, apart from the wear items I mentioned above. It is ready to ride. Condition: The paint on the tank, side covers and rear cowl is original and in excellent condition with just a bit of patina you would expect on a well-loved 38 year old bike. There are no dents in the tank. Chrome pipes are solid and chrome is in very good condition. There is a shallow dent on the top of the right muffler (looks like maybe a tool fell off the seat onto it), but no other dents that I can see. Chrome on wheels is excellent. Front forks have very little of the discoloration/oxidation you typically see on the aluminum fork lowers of these eight valve GS. The fork tubes look excellent. Turn signals have excellent chrome and are scratch/scuff free. Mirrors are scuff free and have the original anti-vibration plugs. Engine cases are very nice, damage free and are free of leaks - a bit of the clearcoat is missing on the engine cases which is typical for the age. The frame is straight and true, and paint on frame is very good. The bike runs and shifts well and all electrics work. Seat is excellent and rip free. Gauges look very good and clear. It does have a slow moving tach and speedometer but they are functional and the odometer and trip clock count accurate miles.Frame and engine numbers are correct for model-year (Suzuki did not match frame and engine numbers). Title matches frame and is clear and in my name. In sum, this is an exceptionally nice base for a rider or to bring it up to concours quality. I would personally leave it in its original, untouched condition. Pictures are from the last nice day of the year in November 2015. I will have the bike out this weekend which will be first nice weather here since last fall. Bike has been under cover in heated garage all winter and it looks like it has been treated very well in its history. I was told by the last owner that he purchased from the original owner. I’ve had several of these bikes and am very familiar with their quirks - this is the nicest I've had. I'm selling because I'd like room in my garage for something else. Bike must be paid for in full before it leaves my garage. If after you come and inspect it you decide it is not as I’ve described you will receive a full refund of your deposit. I’m convinced you will want it. Call or text with GS in subject line with questions 773-470-8388. You can make an offer if you call or text. I reserve the right to end the auction early as bike is also listed for sale locally. No exporters please. Thanks
