Vehicle Detail

*re-listing due to a previous accidental click to purchase* 1991 Suzuki GSX-R 750, high mile bike (approximately 85K, exact figure not known as speedo cable is out of comission) but still driven daily after 10 years of ownership. As should be expected after alot of use there are many issues with this bike, electrical is a mess, there are no running or brake lights and no blinkers (i have battery operated LED's stuffed in the rear lenses for night riding), one headlight works on an independent switch. I did buy a new factory wiring harness a couple years ago but these issues still persist. Next there are no rear brakes, both fork seals are blown and basically every piece of the faring has cracks and splits in one place or another. Lastly, the tank is dented and repaired (barely) but is venting so should be replaced or repaired properly. On the positive side, the bike has a polished frame and lots of nicely chromed parts including the rims, polished Vance & Hines exhaust, the engine and carbs have always been properly maintained and it still runs fairly well, front brakes are good, steel braided brake lines, tires are fair (Pirelli Diablos), K&N air filters, pink slip is in my name with a regular title (NOT a salvage title), and the registration is current until 2017. As mentioned I've been riding this bike daily for years and it has been very reliable, and for as worn-out and beat-up as it is I still get compliments on the bike on almost a daily basis. If a prospective buyer wants to jump right on and ride without fixing anything though I'd say its a bad idea mainly because of the blown fork seals and leaking fork oil make the ride quite "squirrely" to say the least, so I'd recommend at very least getting those fixed before riding. Bike is offered for local pick-up only here in Los Angeles as the condition is such that an out of town buyer will not have a good enough idea what the condition is like without physically seeing the bike in person. Also because of the fork seal issue it is too risky to permit a buyer to test ride this bike. I'm happy to ride the bike in your presence though so it can be seen running and riding. Price is firm.
