READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BID. I bought this car about 4 months ago with the intention of keeping it for good and using it for fun and at weekends. However my wife and I have purchased land in another state and are moving off grid, so we're selling off all our cars.This is a 2011 Chevrolet Caprice PPV Police Sedan with the 6.0 V8 LS2 motor, automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. This car was engineered and built by Holden Motors in Australia then shipped to the United States for Law Enforcement use only, it was never available to the general public, until now they are being released by police departments and can be bought by a lucky few..It is incredibly fast and powerful for such a huge car. It is the longer wheelbase model and has traction control, ABS, Sports driving mode and a very well engineered stability and suspension system which makes it handle like a small sports car. It is a lot of fun to drive. Faster than any Charger, Crown Victoria or Taurus. I would drive this car anywhere in the country, no worries. I've spent a lot of money on the car since I bought it: New tires all round, new brake rotors and ceramic pads all around, new plugs and wires, HiD Led headlights, full service and oil change, new hubcaps $270. The list goes on. I drive about 200+ miles a week in the car and its very smooth, comfortable and reliable. I've also done a few 6 hour journeys in it with no issues. It gets about 18-20mpg.It has multiple airbags, ice cold A/C and great heat. It also has a factory remote engine starter which works great too. You just push the button on the key and it starts the car from outside, great for winter.The interior is pretty good, what you'd expect from a police vehicle, a few scratches and maybe a loose piece of trim here and there but it's not bad at all. Everything works in/on the car. The seats are solid and not torn and the dash is pretty good, it could just use a good clean. The laptop mount, Maglite mount, fire extinguisher and center console stay with the car, but the laptop and Streamlight flashlight and charger will be removed. Also there are 4 antennas on the car. One is for internet, one for GPS and 2 for radio/ cell phone. These will be disconnected but will remain on the car, as will the spotlight which works well. The Bad:The body is just crappy, that's the best way to describe it. Whoever removed the police decals did it with a butcher's knife apparently, as there are scratches and dings all over it. most are very minor and will buff out with some elbow grease and a power buffer. But some are very deep and quite big. I bought a paint pen from Chevrolet and covered up some of the bad ones, but I was just going to have it repainted. These cars have had issues with the radio/HVAC control system in the dashboard and this car had issues when I bought it, but I took it to Chevrolet and spent $700 having it all repaired, so now everything works perfectly fine again. However occasionally when you lock the car you may have to open the driver's door and close it again to get the radio screen to shut off.. But it's no big deal to me. Also, when I bought it it had two small holes in the front bumper where the push bumper used to be, so I put the rubber bumper covers over them but they are easily removed. Finally I've noticed that when the car is fully warmed up it occasionally has a tapping/ knocking noise coming from the engine. It's very faint and doesn't happen all the time. I have no idea what it is and I took it to the Chevrolet dealer that did the Radio problem for me and they couldn't figure it out either. They said that the LS2 engines are notorious for having piston slap noises and that it doesn't really affect anything. And I can assure you it doesn't affect anything on the car. It runs smooth, quiet and very very powerfully. There's nothing mechanically wrong with apart from that and it doesn't do anything to it. Plus you can hardly hear it so I really have no idea. I just wanted to make sure I mentioned it as I like to be as honest as I can.In summary, it's a good solid, reliable, fast car. But it has crappy paint and just needs general tidying up. ALSO THE CAR WAS OWNED BY A RURAL TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPT IN NEW HAMPSHIRE SO IT HAS SOME SURFACE RUST UNDERNEATH AS YOU WOULD EXPECT OF A CAR FROM THAT REGION, BUT IT'S NOTHING BAD JUST ON THE SURFACE OF PARTS.
