This vehicle is in good used condition. It is comfortable to drive and has tremendous power and pep. Exhilarating to drive with the manual trans and the turbocharged engine. Huge Brembo anti-lock breaks and AWD give it incredible cornering and tracking. Owned by a Volvo R series aficionado for the 1st 58k miles, then we bought it for the family wagon. Now sadly too small for us. We rebuilt the front suspension at 80K. Missing one front fog light that got broken by ice last winter. FM is intermittent on radio, AM and 6 CD changer work fine. Other electronics work - computer, cruise, windows, locks, seats, warmers, lights. AC/Heat/Defrost/Heated Seats all work perfectly. Interior is great (front), not great but good(back) as we had little kids in the back seat. No pets. See pictures. We had it detailed before sale, but it needs carpet shampoo or new mats in the back and it will be fine. Our family loves this car and we are not excited to sell it, but we needed 3rd row seating and bought an XC90. Not as much fun, but so be it. We are sold on Volvo Safety forever. Our family survived a 100 mile per hour (75> <25mph) head-on collision in a different Volvo wagon and walked away unscathed. The same cannot be said for the at-fault driver of the other vehicle. You cannot beat Volvo safety. When somebody hits your family head on going 75, never even touching the brakes, you will be glad you provided a Volvo to protect them. Please Be Aware: This is not your typical Mom-Mobile Volvo Wagon. It has all the safety features of every other Volvo, but it is a low slung, high performance vehicle with turbocharged 5 cylinder DOHC engine, 6 speed manual transmission, performance All Wheel Drive, performance tires and rims, huge BREMBO 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and sport bucket front seats. It is an awesome driving experience if you know how to drive a performance car. If you are looking for an XC 70 or a more standard "Volvo Wagon" this is not your vehicle. This is a finely tuned highway/sport vehicle. It has a lower clearance than the standard XC 70s do nowadays, so if you live in the country, you'll immediately recognize the problem of low clearance. Just know what you are looking at or please ask questions. This is a no Bumper Sticker Volvo Wagon. There is no political manifesto spelled out in soundbytes on the back of this wagon. It is too fast for people to read all of the politics anyway. If you are looking for a V70R and you found this you probably already know the above but I am just trying to protect the average person from buying the wrong thing and being surprised. As a parent, I can't advise this as a "first car for a first time driver" unless they are incredibly responsible. It is a lot of power and acceleration to put in the hands of a first time driver. Would you buy your 16 year old a Corvette? I hope not if you live near me. Kelley Blue Book Valuator puts this vehicle in Good to Very Good condition for what that is worth. No other 6 speed manual V70Rs available on EBay right now for comparison. Mileage is Actual - 118,300. I may put a few more miles on it, keeping it running smoothly instead of letting it sit, but not more than 50. It gets about 18.5-22mpg depending on how and where you drive. Volvo imported 500 of these per year into the US from 2004-2008, so they can be hard to find - as anyone reading this far down knows! The 6 speed Manuals are rare as a Zebra-Unicorn lovechild (man, are those rare). I may update the listing or add additional photos based upon people's questions if that would be helpful. I would accept a cashier's check or bank check within 5 days for the full purchase amount with shipping to be arranged after the funds clear. Amazingly, I have received multiple emails from V70R owners expressing their dismay that I have to sell my V70R and what a difficult thing that must be to have to do. That is the type of thing that I would do and I think it just goes to show you that certain cars create a sense of community that is unique. The world could use more sense of community. The tires are new this year. Less than 1000 miles on them. They are awesome Continentals. Four wheel alignment done at the time of installation. The timing belt has not been changed. That is due at the 120K service. The clutch is good and has not been adjusted, modded, or replaced. The car has been babied for the most part. No aggressive driving back and forth to the kids school. We always appreciate the power, agility and quickness when we need it, but we are mellow drivers day to day. The service has been done by our superstar Volvo mechanics in Charlottesville, Edgecomb's Imported Auto. They are the best. There is a star crack on the windshield I just noticed driving this weekend. Less than a Quarter size. Not in the field of view for the driver. April 2016 Virginia State Inspection. Yes, it has Parking Assist. It also has the built it programmable garage door opener, which is nice. I would prefer you reprogram that to open your garage door rather than continue to open and close mine randomly. The leather interior is tan and is very nice. The driver's seat has some wear (see the photos) and the back seat has some combination of juicebox and raisin residue which I will try to remediate. I am including photos of the back seat for your perusal but I would tell you it is the worst case scenario. The leather back there is in excellent shape, it just needs some more aggressive cleaning than I have done. The kids are now busy trashing our XC90, so the V70R is safe from them. I'll get it cleaned up a bit more, but I may not be able to get photos up (before all the sniping starts in the final 6 seconds of this auction).
