2001 540I Sport. One step below an M5. Bought this car with my dad as a project and neither of us has the time to finish it. Our loss can be your gain. Beautiful car that just needs a new transmission to get it back on the road. I bought it from a friend who took great care of it. A new transmission was not in the cards for her though. I have driven the car less than a mile. Run strong even in limp mode where it skips first and second gear and starts in third. Car can not be smogged in CA since the check engine light is on and the transmission is shot. Technically being sold as a parts car. Buyer is responsible for working out smog in CA. I am happy to answer any question i can about the car, but like I said I haven't driven it much. The tires are in good shape but the chromed wheels hold onto dirt better than they should. Interior shows its age but still looks good. The motor on the drivers seat appears to be shot. We just put a battery in it and the other bits of the car feel strong. Could be a great daily driver for anyone who has the skills needed to pop a transmission into it. Or the motor could be a great transplant into another car. Car is worth more then the starting bid in parts alone. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and all sales are final.
