prohibited items product recalls avoiding scams I bought this truck from a local gentlemen who I know that bought it brand new in 01. This was the first Duramax sold at our local dealership and he has been the original owner since I bought it and all the maintenance has been done at the dealership. The only reason he sold it was he bought another new one just like this one. I bought it thinking I was going to buy a little trailer for my ole lady to pull around her antiques but we went another route. I just put Brand New Tires 285/75/16's around it,changed the oil and put a new serpentine belt on it. This truck is the LS Pkg. and has all power and electronic options and the 4x4 works fine. It has 233k on the miles and runs and drives perfect. He had put 2 new GM batteries in it recently and had the dealership put a new injector primer in as well since they are notorious for going out so your good there. The driver side seat has the typical wear and could be recovered for around 200.00 dollars or just sew it and leave it be. This truck has been maintained well and other then having some scratches here and there this is a really good truck and being that it has a DURAMAX DIESEL and ALLISON AUTOMATIC OVERDRIVE it has many miles left on it, you can ask anybody and they will tell you these are some of the best trucks to own.The only things this truck could use if you just want to fix stuff is sew up the tear on the driver seat, replace the speakers so they sound better, and for years now the dash guage cluster will sometimes dim real low where its hard to see the miles but then it will come back on and when it does it the fuel guage will come on saying your low on diesel but then it will go off, it doesn't bother me because it doesn't effect the way the truck runs or anything, but other then that this truck runs great and drives very good as well. Overall if your needing a good truck I believe this one would do you right and save you a lot on buying a new one. I have a clear texas title!
