Vehicle Detail

We love this civic! And we were prepared to keep it for the next 5 or 10 years. But after putting brand new tires, air filter, and a battery into it recently, along with a 4-wheel alignment and brand new annual inspection (March 2017), we decided to up-gauge a little. Our kids are getting bigger and more active. We are carrying more stuff wherever we go. And we're doing less driving overall this year, so we're ready to move up to the safety and poor fuel mileage that a large all-wheel-drive wagon or SUV can offer. In short, we made the jump to a new car. This Honda was purchased new, and has had only one owner. It has never been smoked in, and has a very clean interior. It has served us very well, and is completely awesome. It had 2 small dents removed and a new wheel replacement after a window shutter fell onto it during a heavy thunderstorm several years ago. It also was struck in the same right front fender over a year ago, by a young driver in a parking lot. And, again, it was fixed professionally by a local dealership's body shop. Both repairs were excellent. It has some very slight delamination along the rear window defroster lines, which is typical for many vehicles. And the right rear passenger window needs a new window motor. It's been out for about 6 months, but we never used it; and before we had plans to sell it, we had no plans to waste money on it. If you buy this car, and if it matters to you, we will have it fixed before you pick it up. We can just add the repair cost to the price. Or you can do what we do, and ignore it. This car is fun to drive. It is not fun to sit in the back rolling the window up and down. Apart from the window motor and defroster lines, any previous damage has truly been dealt with professionally, and I don't believe that you will be disappointed. Quite honestly, we really do love this car. And if we could keep a third car for no good reason, we would. This car includes 2 remote-entry keys with integrated key fobs, one additional third valet key, installed wheel locks, and a fitted sunshade for the front windshield . . . as well as four new highly-regarded Continental Pure Contact tires, and the standard LX-S features listed below: 2011 Honda Civic LX-SThe “S” part of the 2011 Honda Civic LX-S's name means a subtle rear spoiler and sporty 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as steering-wheel leather, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a sport-trimmed black interior with silver stitching. As with all non-Si gasoline Civics, it gets the 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder with the buyer’s choice of a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. The front disc brakes are paired with rear drums, and all get anti-lock and brake assist. There are daytime running lights and six standard airbags here as well. Power features are well-represented, with windows, doors, mirrors, and remote-keyless entry, and luxury comes via air conditioning, cruise control, and a CD/MP3 player with digital-media connection and satellite readiness. Front bucket seats are still cloth, but recline and offer height adjustability. We had changed the tires on both of our vehicles last year, but I hadn't realized how much time had passed since then. In the spirit of honesty and full disclosure, I would like to note that the tires on the Civic were changed almost exactly one year ago, in March of 2015. They have had 9,000 miles put on them in that time. They are Continental Pure Contact with Eco-Plus, and have an expected life of 70,000 miles . . . with highest ratings (A) for tread wear, traction, and temperature, according to the UTQG rating system. The original stock Goodyear tires were terrible for tread wear, and had worn completely out within 40,000 miles of tame driving. These Continentals should be better in most respects.
