One of two MGs for sale. Need the garage space. Five MGs are bit much to keep up with for me and the HOA. This car was garaged over 6 years ago with the intention of preparing for a repaint then life and more MGs happened. Great candidate for restoration. The good - split bumper MG, less than 1000 miles on rebuilt engine with performance cam, rebuilt carbs, new exhaust, ship shape transmission and clutch, solid body, floorboards, and undercarriage including dog legs and rocker panels (some surface rust where paint is peeling) all electrical gauges worked, electronic fuel pump (have old SU fuel pump), good tires, am/fm/cassette player with 6 cd changer. The bad - running when parked but has not been started since parked - fuel line and gas tank may need draining and cleaning. The ugly - needs paint, front bumper need to be re-chromed or replaced, the head board, carpets and seats are in fairly good shape but rear interior side panels need replacement. To the best of my recollection, everything worked with parked. The car is being sold as it without warranties or guarantees. I have another 1970 MG (RHD) up for auction with wire wheels and overdrive. I had planned to combine the best parts of both cars. I realize that is not going to be done by me. I am not interested in parting the cars out. So instead of letting the cars sit and deteriorate further, I have set a low reserve price for both. Could easily combine the two and have a nice car with plenty of spare parts. Please contact me if you have questions.
