Vehicle Detail
1946 Chevrolet Pickup Truck, Frame off build, Chevy 350, 700R4 Automatic Transmission, Mustang II front end with disk brakes, Ford 8 Inch rear end (3.55 gears), powder coated burgundy wine frame, bed wood stained to match, all original metal no fiberglass or aftermarket replacement panels. Painted in the hotrod blitz black, interior is a gloss black, burgundy maroon pin stripes and rear tailgate decal. Truck runs and drives great, lots of thumbs up and lookers every time I drive it. Original frame with all the modifications. Purchased and started building the truck in 2011. Kept the outside almost all original except for the Chevy bowtie emblems welded onto the running boards (see photos). Chrome grille is perfect New tires and rims (235x55x17) New shocks (four) New body mounts New dual side exhaust New rear tail lights New Auto Meter gauges with custom aluminum dash insert Tilt Chrome steering column and hardware Chrome banjo style steering wheel New interior and exterior door handles and window cranks New wiring and harness Lokar accelerator Bench seat reupholstered black/burgundy with Chevy logo embroidered in middle of seat Rebuilt windshield crank so windshield easily cranks in and out Both side windows springs re-done and roll up and down New headliner and kick panels All new glass tinted gray installed Rear roll pan Front chrome bumper New master cylinder and brake booster (chrome) New brakes and brake lines Power steering New drive shaft and u joints New battery tray and hold down Electric fuel pump and large fuel filter installed on frame New aluminum radiator with transmission cooler lines Holley 750Chrome shorty headers Competition cam and Pro Magnum hydraulic lifters Edelbrock Performer intake manifold Fuel tank cleaned Interior of truck has been sound deadened with mat New wood in bed stained to match truck with many coats of urethane. Tons of new parts, gaskets, and other items not listed as well as a lot of time and money. Planned on keeping the truck for myself and one day painting a logo on the doors. The motor I purchased from a subject doing a LS 502 swap in his Nova, I have the advertisement he posted with the engine which stated the motor had less than 10k on it. The transmission I had rebuilt and has less than 200 miles on it as does the truck since its completion. The truck was built to drive, but could easily make body perfect and paint gloss for a show truck. Still needs carpet finished, I have a piece started but new owner may want something different, also have cover for transmission shifter. Was also going to find place to tuck all wiring by drivers door when completing the interior. Turn signals and lights all work. No, Air conditioning, heat, or windshield wipers (left covers inside cab should someone want to add them later), original heater holes all firewall welded up as aftermarket heat/A/C would be run differently. Truck was southwest truck and had very little rust confined to where the running boards attached to the fenders. Rust was cut out and metal match panels welded in. Truck is sold as is with no warranty where any truck this old and with customization will need tinkering.
