1986 M635CSI Real Euro M6 M88 EngineVin # WBAEE310401051810Recaro Race SeatsOriginal BBS 3 Piece Metric RimsNeeds RestorationTruly a Rare Opportunity!World Wide Auction! Hello and thank you for viewing. Up for sale is my M635csi/ Euro M6. This is the real deal featuring the M88 Motorsports inline 6 cyl engine. I recently acquired this car with the full intention of restoring it to its full glory. A close friend of mine is a German car mechanic. He lives out of state and was going to dedicate a few weekends in helping me with this project. It wasn't until a few days ago that he was called into the union. He was my main deciding factor of this purchase. Sadly, without his help, I am deciding to part with this project. Before making the purchase I had a local mechanic ensure the engine was not blown. He hand spun the motor, checked the oil, and didn't see any cross contamination of antifreeze. He also noted that the engine felt like it had good compression. My friend strongly advised me not to apply power to this car without performing all the necessary procedures such as: dropping the gas tank and cleaning it out, blowing out all the fuel lines, removal of all spark plugs, oiling down all the cylinders and changing all the fluids. These procedures are out of my comfort zone without being assisted by a professional. Body: There are various dents and scratches along with some small rust spots. The lower front bumper is crack free. The rear bumper has a missing clip. There was tape to hold it in place. Most of the dents on the body can be massaged out with painless dent repair. The 2 side passenger windows were broken out by young kids. All of the other glass is perfect and original. The body appears very solid and worthy of a paint job. The passenger side door lock is held into place and will not open. However, we suspect that it will open once there is power to vehicle. The drivers side door could use some grease as it's a little hard to open. When the door is closed it doesn't shut all the way - maybe a bushing or adjustment. Nothing Earth shattering for the right individual. The rear trunk lock is missing and I didn't attempt to open it. As you can see in the photos the car is missing all the lights in the front along with one in the rear. Engine: As I stated above, I had the car's engine hand spun to ensure the motor wasn't seized. The mechanic also noted he felt the car had good compression. It doesn't appear to be missing anything under the hood. Everything has a stock appearance and nothing looks like it was tampered with. I was verbally told by the previous owner that the car had a duplex timing chain modification done to it. Again, I cannot confirm this, but my gut feeling tells me this is correct. Interior: The interior of this car is in pretty nice shape. Amazingly, the dashboard is crack free. As seen in the photos the car is missing the 2 rear seats. The 2 front Recaro seats are in nice condition. The door panels are all complete along with the side panels in the rear. The carpet on this car will clean up extremely nice. There are 3 out of 4 factory floor mats are present. There was a an old cell phone installed, along with an upgraded stereo. As shown in the photos, the car is missing the radio. Wheels: Original BBS 3 piece metric wheels. With some cleaning and polishing these rims will shape up nicely. There doesn't appear to be any cracks on these rims as the Michelin TRX tires are still holding air. There is a plastic lug removal tool present in the car. Transmission: I manually shifted through all the gears to ensure engagement. The clutch pedal depresses and returns to normal position. Brakes: The pedal feels ok and stops the car from a roll. No signs of fluid leaks Summary: This is a rare and unique find. There isn't many of these cars left, whether it be a Euro or US spec car. I was informed that the euro spec M cars have an M88 engine opposed to an S38 US spec M6. Although at a first glance they may look the same they do indeed have differences that lies beneath the surface. The M88 engine was also used in the M1 (street and pro cars). Euro versions are supposed to obtain higher top speeds. I highly doubt you will find another opportunity to find another low mileage euro M car for sale at an affordable Buy it Now. I would just like to reiterate that this is a non running, restoration project that has amazing potential for the right buyer. I am selling this car AS IS, exactly the way that i acquired it. The title is clean and in my name. Any serious buyer can come down and view the car in person or send someone on their behalf. Cease the opportunity to own a highly valuable , classic piece of automotive history. Shipping: I can assist in shipping, i have a close family friend that is in the business. If one chooses their own company i will help in any way i can to make an easy outcome. For all serious buyers you can contact me direct at 917 295 0620, I highly prefer phone calls over emails. Thank you.
