Up for your consideration is this 1970 vw karman ghia, I bought this car a few years ago and haven't had the time to invest and now with a baby on the way its got to find a new home. This is a running and driving project car formerly from California, currently has a clear state of Iowa title, the person I purchased this from gave me some info on some of the added parts that were installed which include a weber dual port 40 mm carb and intake kit, a gt2 exhaust system, empi short throw 12" shifter, degree wheel , maurcetti wheels and a recent clutch, car starts right up , moves and stops,lights and wipers work , motor runs great, the reason I am listing this as a project car is it has been in storage for about 2 1/2 years, it is not perfect but very presentable, with a little tinkering it could be road worthy in a short time, does need paint and body, new weatherstripping etc. the interior is decent but will need a good cleaning, tires are great, will need a new horn and the passenger seat needs to be installed back on the track. I do not have any extra parts so what you see is what you get as I never got into working on the car. As stated in the title this is a project with no reserve, it is being sold as is with no warranties implied or expressed so please ask questions before bidding and I will answer them as accurately as possible, you can also contact me (716-692-4385) ask for Scott. I will assist a car transporter when the car is picked up , car must be picked up within 30 days from the end of auction or it will be relisted.On Mar-18-16 at 10:09:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 3-17-2016, Car has developed a fuel issue, I replaced the fuel pump and now it has an idling issue, still runs but the carburetor will need to be rebuilt, found kits on line which range from $18 - $40 , unfortunately I would not receive a rebuild kit by auctions end so this task will be done by the new owner.
