I have for sale my 1985 Mercedes 300SD. I am the third owner (last eight years), car was bought new in Lafayette, LA at Moss Motors. It is in great condition for a car 31 years old. It has never been wrecked, has no dents, no rust, a few very minor scratches/paint chips, shines beautifully. The engine is as solid as a Mercedes diesel can get, no smoking, minimal blow-by, turbo powered, straight 5 cylinder, gets about 25 miles to the gallon. This car was very well maintained over the years and the condition shows it. I have all maintenance records from the second owner and from my eight years of ownership. I have gotten to know this car very well and am willing to answer any question that you might have. The car was professionally repainted to the original color shortly before I purchased it (clear coat was peeling) and the paint looks fabulous, always waxed. I changed out the original A/C unit and compressor a few years ago which now uses R134a coolant and blows cold. Many aging parts have been replaced and I can tell you what these are and have receipts for most. This car rides well, tires are maybe close to half life (Michelin). Oil, and all filters changed at scheduled intervals. Interior is in good condition with a few minor flaws. A must see and test drive if you are a fan of these diesel cars.
