Vehicle Detail
2002 Cadillac Deville. Original Owner. MSRP of $53,245 Factory Equipped with Sunroof, 17" Chrome Wheels, WA9 Comfort and Convenience Package (includes Rear Air Bags, Memory Package, Trunk Mat, Wood Trim Steering Wheel, Power Tilt and Telescope, Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist and Garage Door Opener), Optional Crimson Pearl Paint, Neutral Shale Leather Interior with center console. EXTERIOR:This car was garage kept until August 2014. We are selling it because we have growing family and bought a SUV with third row seating. The car has never been involved in an accident however the front grill, hood, fenders and mirrors were repainted when it was a couple years old due to gravel falling off a truck and damaging the paint and windshield. The color match was perfect. Since that time, the front bumper was cracked (damaging the right parking light) and the rear bumper scuffed (both minor parking issues). The paint has some scratches on the left and right 1/4 panels (directly over the wheels) and left front fender (also directly over the wheel). All of these are the result of a faulty gate closing against the car (it did not dent it). See photos, I would rate the exterior a 6-7/10 (it still looks very nice, it just has some blemishes). Some areas will most likely buff out; I have not detailed the car! I do not believe there are any dents in the body. The tires have 26,000 (+/-) miles and are about 4-5 years old (the right rear also has slow leak). The chrome wheels are nice with no obvious chipping or curb rash. The car has never been in a collision. INTERIOR:The interior of the car is very nice (8-9/10); no rips, tears, staining etc. This is most likely due to it being garage kept for the majority of its existence. The leather is supple and nice. The driver seat shows some wear on the outside bolster, but could be re-dyed (it is minor). One A/C mixer door has been sporadically failing to open/close properly. I have a new door motor and will include it with the sale (you can install). I have maintained the car, changing the oil at recommended intervals. At around 80,000 miles the water pump, water pump belt and intake gaskets were replaced. The 100k mile tune up was completed which included new OEM spark plugs, boots, drive belt and engine coolant. As repairs have been necessary they have been completed. At around 100,000 miles the AC condenser, compressor and receiver dryer were replaced (along with one faulty line). The entire AC system was flushed and re-charged and it works great. At approximately 110,000 miles the radiator and idler pulleys / tensioner were replaced. The car has no indication of CO2 in the cooling system (symptom of the dreaded head gasket failure). When I experienced the overheating (ultimately determined to be a failed belt tensioner), a combustion gas leak test was completed and it was negative (I would not have put the money into the radiator / tensioners if the head gasket was leaking). Both coil packs have been replaced as well as every window regulator (at least once). I installed an aftermarket remote start system on the car with one LCD remote to alert when the car is running (works great). Aside from the tinted rear windows, this is the only modification I made to the car. The Driver information center shows a steady Check Engine Light. I was told this is due to faulty catalytic converter that needs replaced. Speed is limited to 90 MPH and a message of "Service Suspension" appears because I replaced the factory magnetic ride control struts / shocks with standard Monroe units. The check coolant light is on as the sensor in the coolant recovery tank has failed (replace the coolant tank and the built in sensor for the light to go off). I have not addressed these issues as a smog test is not required where I live and they did not affect its drivability/reliability. The car has been very reliable. As the car has gotten older, I made reasonable decisions on how to repair issues as they arrose. I thought it irresponsible to spend $2500 on magnetic ride control struts/shocks on a car that was 8 years old when I could install $200 Monroe shocks/struts with no real impact on comfort and drivability. Same with the low coolant message; I simply keep an eye on the water temp gauge. If I were keeping the car, I would replace the catalytic converter and A/C mixer motor. This car WILL NOT pass a smog test with the check engine light on, so if you live in an area where smog tests are required please understand this will need to be addressed BEFORE you can pass a smog test. This car is bein sold "As Is" and has no warranty; expressed or implied. It is 14 years old with over 119,000 miles. Please look at all the photos and ask questions. I am located in Southern Oregon (60 miles north of the California border). You are welcome (encouraged) to come look at the car and inspect in person. I have a clear title in my name (no lienholder). This is a No Reserve Auction and it will not be ended early, unless Buy It Now is utilized A $500 deposit to Paypal must be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction. The remainder can be paid via cash (in person), US Postal Money Order or Cashiers check. The car will not leave until it is paid in full and funds have cleared. I may be able to deliver along the I-5 corridor in California (from my home to the LA Area) near the end of March. I would charge $250 for this delivery, but the funds must be paid in full before I will deliver (the same as if you hired a transporter). Good Luck! On Feb-25-16 at 20:53:11 PST, seller added the following information: If you have less than 10 E-bay transactions, please contact me before bidding. Please do not bid if you have negative feedbacks; your bid may be cancelled. Fortunately, most of my transactions on E-bay have been good; However, I have had several non-paying bidders and they seem to have some things in common; few E-bay transactions and negative feedback. I firmly believe that past behavior is a indicator of future behavior. I am looking to sell this car in a pleasant and easy going transaction. Thank you for understanding.
