In government crash testing, the BMW SUV earned a perfect five stars for driver and front-passenger protection in frontal impacts. In side-impact testing, it earned four stars for front-occupant protection and five stars for the rear. The X5 earned a "Good" rating (the highest possible) in IIHS frontal-offset crash testing. Great engine 3.0-liter, inline, 6-cylinder provides solid performance and the car also handles well. Upon me test driving it, it was an instant reminder of the German lineage that has made BMW so legendary. This car is built rigidly and has very good off the line acceleration. Phenomenal braking capabilities, precise handling and long distance comfort make a company like BMW bulletproof reliability and makes me a lifelong BMW fanatic. This car is highly civil, as represented in the smooth and firm, shifting, 5-speed, automatic, transmission. As you can see in the many detailed photos taken, the "Sterling Gray" metallic, exterior finish shines beautifully and looks real straight.
