This car may look familiar to you because it has been listed by a consignment company. I am now listing it myself, at a significantly lower price. The Nash Metropolitan was built in England for American Motors. This automobile is in excellent condition and can be driven anywhere in air-cooled comfort. The air conditioner was added, and will keep you cool and comfortable in the hottest Summer weather. It has been shown in numerous car shows and almost always wins a trophy. People gather around to look, ask questions, reminisce -- and take pictures. It is definitely an eye-catcher! I bought this car about two years ago. At that time the body work, paint and most of the interior was complete; bumper and bumper guards had been re-chromed, had new headlight bezels and new tires and hubcaps. Since I bought the car it has had the engine and transmission removed, cleaned and re-painted. and most seals and gaskets replaced. Front end was rebuilt, steering gear box and idler box rebuilt. Battery was converted to negative ground. Wiring was repaired and fuse box installed. Rear end third member gears were 4.22 to 1, replaced with 3.90 to 1, which makes it much better for highway driving.
