This is a 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T 340 Auto 1 of 731 made. 2 fender tag. numbers matching motor and transmission. very clean nice original broadcast sheet. Clear title in my name. N42 N85 R11 H31 V5X CTD J54 J78 J81 M21 N41 C55 G11 G31 G33 H31 J25 V1X U A36 A45 B51 C16 GW3 H6X9 000 610 061860 E55 D32 JS23H1B426869 Second fender tag has 26 END 2 And complete vin on bottom The following numbers of interest are from the broadcast sheet C93 G41 F96 J11 J51 J21 J31 J55 M26 L76 N65 N51 R31 S13 S25 S41 S74 S81 W23 I will let you decode the car in detail, but here are the highlights. 340 auto buckets, console, ralleye gauges, rear defrost, rear speaker fader, power disc brakes, 3.55 gear package car, front n rear sway bars 11 inch rear drums, QUICK RATIO T/A BOX, front chin spoiler and gull wing, dual chrome mirrors, tinted glass, 3 speed wipers. This is a GW3 Bright/Sno white car, black interior, black top, road wheel rwl polyglass tire. and a vinyl side trim car, which made it a stipe delete car. This option put the Challenger R/T logo below the body line with the offset R/T logo, only 71 R/T stripe delete and side moulding cars got this treatment. This car has a build date of 610 June 10 a late date and it came factory with a blue painted motor which is correct. I purchased this car in 1991 and it is basicly the same today as it was in 1991, inside stored. the only item missing is the 3.55 center unit which is in my demon, car has open rear, driveshaft and other items still in car. This car has not been picked of its original items, numbers motor, trans, dash and all interior complete, gauges, console linkage, seats, seat belts, ect all there, as is the original air cleaner, 1 year only thermoquad, radiator, shroud, power steering cooler still in place, all wiring is complete, it has a nice usable original grill, all hardware is there for gull wing, as are the road wheels. all trim is on car, front rails are solid, car will need rear rails and trunk floor. This may be the most complete original challenger r/t available, the parts it needs are readily available. The story on this car. The original owner was 17 and he and his mom bought it off of Coronet Dodge in Kirkwood Mo. It was driven daily and later by his wife and daughter, I started trying to buy it in 1985, and finally got it in 1991 when it wouldn't pass inspection. I drove it off and on for next couple of years and then put it away. Ive decided to sell now as my son has got his first car and I need to free up some space for other projects. This is one of my oldest keepers, bid with confidence, this Challenger is extremely optioned and would be a stand out when done, this car is what everyone wants the 71 to be, and its the real deal all there with documentation.
