Good offers but the car did not sell previously even though eBay stated it did. Without naming the eBayer he says his cell phone was in his pocket when he/it somehow hit the buy it now button. Have you heard that before? 1987 Buick GNX: #294, Let Out of The Putnam Collection, Game Changer, ASC/McLaren Tuned. 1 of 547, Matching #s, 3.8L V6 Turbo w/ Intercooler, 2 Door Sedan, 4 Speed AT, Original Black Paint, 4978 Miles Original, Accident Free Body, Original Wheels w/ Goodyear Tires, 4th Owner from 1998 w/ Car on CO or MSO. I present my 1987 Buick GNX #294, a 1 year American icon, having come from Putnam's Leasing Collection, 273 W. Putnam Ave, Greenwich, CT., and sold to Putnam Buick, 19 Railroad Ave, Greenwich, CT., 06830, and retaining its original GM Certificate of Origin (CO) 7" x 8", aka Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and includes original dealer invoice #883, canary colored customer copy, of $40,000, along w/: - a copy of the original window sticker --- not the original window sticker --- header stating ASC McLaren, VIN #, GNX #294, mileage info, price $29,290, and dealer to whom delivered which was Putnam Buick, Greenwich, CT - Orig canary colored envelope from Joe McKeone, 7G760 from Putnam Leasing, Inc, 273 W. Arian #D359 of $35K w/ 1,753 miles, and - Putnam Buick Service Inv #644, Sept 30, '87 complaint of no turbo boost The GNX was a game changer, the Grand National to end all Grand Nationals, simply the quickest production car offered in this country.... then. As the 4th owner since 1998, this car went thru the 1st 3 owners w/o being titled and has been garage kept and well maintained. I've driven the car on a few day trips such as to Mount Hood, Oregon out of San Francisco, California. I've dialed down the boost so as to prevent breaking traction and for safety... it'll need to be dialed back if you wish. All electrical features are working, the horn, turn signals, power windows, hi-low headlight beam and all instrument gauges. All side, front and rear glass are the original w/ the logo stamp clearly evident as well as all emblems and stickers located on the engine, door and trunk. The glass is essentially w/o nicks, chips or pock marks. When I detailed the body of this car upon purchase in 1997 the bare metal of the body could hardly be felt as it more typified the sensation of touching a pillow or cloth or an early Persian rug. While that may no longer be true it is possible to restore that luster it had given you've enough time. The body does have dust/dirt marks/swirls, small nicks, light hairline scratches here and there... nothing to be ashamed of unless you expect brand new paint. Maybe 2 or 3 3/16" dimples or smaller in the body but I haven't located them. The bumper fillers have discolored a bit as you see in the pictures from its original black. The 4 wheels are original and w/o curb rash while the original Goodyear Eagle tires are older w/ plenty of tread but not recommended for road trips or freeway use. The interior seat and dash has no rips/stains/tears or other defect evident. * There is dry foam in the headliner just in front of the dome light going across driver-to-passenger doors.... I didn't notice this until now. * Both sunvisors have no defects and both speaker grilles have no cracks or other defects evident. Both door panels in its entirety appear w/o any stains/rips/tears w/ no evidence of any defects. The underside is as clean as the interior. The AC blows luke warm but unless you're in the San Francisco fog you would never need it. A bit of loose foam may come out of the vents... due to aging of the foam rubber. It was long ago when I last saw the original spare and jack, which I can double check. I have both sets of the original GM keys that works the ignition and to lock and unlock the doors, trunk and glovebox. 1 early service invoice from Putnam in 1987 had the original owner complaining of no boost... on a brand new car at that. Servicing was performed to clean out the turbo or other per the invoice. I've kept the sheepskin seat cover over the driver's seat since purchase. Neither driver nor passenger door panels have come loose as seen so often. I've tried to put in a new higher CCA battery but the strap won't fit over the battery to secure it, so I've put in a new stock battery. The VIN# printed on the RPO sticker/decal glued in the trunk matches the VIN # plague by the front window. No hat/jacket but I do have the *book if you want that. * The book is: BUICK GNX by Martyn L. Schorr, 64 pages, copyright 1988, publisher, Joseph C. Parkhurst. The book does not have the # imprint or stamp on it. Neither my steering wheel lock nor disklok are included as I use them. Needing Attention: - The dash brake light comes on/off at times indicating a brake failure. This was due to the poor powermaster unit design and is attributed to needing an accumulator ball replacement or other. - The radio antennae snapped early in life and I've never replaced it. The antennae motor works as does the radio buzzing. The original radio has never been removed. - The hood struts are losing its hydraulics. - The headliner has dried in front of the dome light. - The car was not washed or detailed... pictures are shown w/ dust/dirt on the car. Excuse me as I added a picture of the trunk from years earlier in the mix. I'm considering selling to purchase other enjoyments. Bill of sale w/ the MSO to be provided. Free pickup in San Francisco, California. I'll cooperate w/ your shipper if done w/in a reasonable time frame.
