Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Please, no zero- or low-feedback bidders without calling me PRIOR to bidding; thanks! Tim 360-936-9257 You are bidding on an amazingly rare survivor Mopar classic, a 1971 Dodge D100 Sweptside with both the Adventurer, Sport, and SE "Special Edition" options. You just don't find old Mopar trucks like this... 127k original miles, turn-key running and driving condition, strong original 318 2v engine, rebuilt carb, new top end gaskets, fresh Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new charging system, radiator flushed, fresh fluids, filters, etc. I also just had the original 727 automatic transmission fully rebuilt, including a shift kit and new torque converter. New wheel studs, brakes. Has power brakes. This truck was optioned with the 3.55 rear axle ratio and Sure Grip limited slip 8 3/4" rear axle. It also has the trailer towing package. It even has it's original owner's manual in the glove box! Dodge only made 33,487 full-sized half-ton Sweptside pickup trucks in 1971, the final year of this exceptional body style. Compared to same-year 1971 full-sized half-ton Chevy truck production (206,313 made) and 1971 full-sized half-ton Ford production (332,131 made), the Dodge D100 in any form is a rare and hard-to-find truck. Beyond the basic D100 model, which comprised the vast majority of the trucks, there was also The Dude model (estimates of 1500-2000 made), the Adventurer, Adventurer Sport, and Adventurer Sport Special Edition (SE) models. Of all the models available, the Adventurer Sport Special Edition was the rarest of all, and estimates are that only around 500 were made. This is one of the rarest and most collectible of all Dodge trucks made. You never see them. The Adventurer SE package including the chrome front bumper, special steering wheel, chrome dash accents, wood grain instrument panel trim, special plush vinyl and fabric seat, color-keyed seat belts, full courtesy lighting, extra insulation, dual horns, special luxury door panels, carpet, headliner, and additional exterior trim including bright cab drip rail moldings, body side moldings, side rocker moldings, wheel lip moldings, and body side vinyl wood grain trim. A good-looking, well-dressed Mopar classic in all respects. The body is in original Bright White paint, which still shines very nicely, and has no rust issues. Other than the minor surface rust where paint has chipped, there is no rust rot that I can find. Amazing. I've removed the old worn carpet and taken good pictures of the floors, steps, etc. They are in fantastic condition, and also still wear original factory paint. There are some minor dings and dents as you can see, but nothing major; a very good-looking and interesting truck. Original factory painted steel wheels, hubcaps, and old-school vintage BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Bone-stock under the hood, and just as beautiful there, too. Original air cleaner, tire jack and tools, decals, everything. Even the battery tray has original white paint and no rust. This truck also came with the power assist steering; the pump and hoses are there but the ram has been removed. The interior is also completely original, with all the original emblems, and rare SE-only deluxe door panels, chrome dash accents, wood grain instrument panel trim, special steering wheel, etc. Great dash and trim, gauges work. So cool. Some of these items are Special Edition only, like the door panels with the vinyl map pockets. All the emblems are present. Stock radio, no cuts or extra holes. Good glass all around, window regulators operate smoothly. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for inspection, export, etc. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction's end via deposit into my Bank of America account, bank wire transfer, or cash. You may call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you may have. I must reserve the right to end the auction early, as I have it advertised locally as well.. While every effort is being made to describe the truck as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 45-year-old classic, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I can help recommend a shipper, but the choice is fully yours. The vehicle is located in Vancouver, WA 98686. Don't miss your chance to own one of the coolest and rarest Dodge trucks ever made. Thank you for looking, and please feel free to call with any questions you may have. Tim 360-936-9257
