I am selling a 1956 International Metro step van. I've had this metro for a couple years but just don't have time to work on it. I got it from a guy in the middle of Nevada. It had sat in the same desert spot since the 70's, hence it has very little rust, just a little behind the front wheels at the steps and a few bubbles in the back near each end of the rear bumper. The drip rails and window openings are all rust free, other than some surface rust. I have no idea what condition the motor and transmission are in because the previous owner couldn't tell me and I haven't investigated it myself. It has factory original automatic transmission and inline 6. It has a 115" wheel base and is 3/4 ton. It started its life as a US Postal vehicle, so it has the very rare original roll-up rear door, which still works great. The other doors slide as they should. It does have some bonds by the gas tank that seems to be coming loose, and a few dents here and there. I have the METRO letters for the front, but part of the T is missing. If you don't see them in some of the pics, I took them off so they wouldn't get stolen. But they are included in the sale. The International Harvester badge for the front is missing.
