1991 Ford E-250 4x4 Trail Wagons One Owner Conversion Van. Up for sale is a rare Ford 4x4 van in near perfect condition!! Straight axle 4x4! No cost was spared on the custom build of this van back in 1991 and it still looks like it did when it was new. Original owner! This baby has always been garaged and maintained better than the kids. NO RUST!! Only 140k gentle miles with full service and maintenance logs down to every gas fill up. Yes, you read that right, every gas fill has been logged. Never been in an accident. Original paint and body! You will not find a nicer 4x4 van that has been kept up like this one. Trail Wagons out of Fairfield did the conversion and Pathfinder did the 4x4 conversion. Mechanically speaking the van is turn key. You can buy it and start driving. I would not hesitate to drive this cross country tomorrow. Strong and powerful 5.8 L 351 ci Ford Engine. Lots of recent maintenance including new battery, new computer, new brakes (shoes, master cylinder, rear drums), new tires, new door lock system, full tune up with new plugs and wires, replaced muffler / exhaust, and catalytic converter, new shocks, rebuilt transmission. All work done within the past 40k miles with full documentation. A/C and heater both work like new. Interior is in new condition! There are no major rips, tears, or stains. You will be amazed of the interior conditions. Power windows and door locks, cruise control. Has working TV / VCR combo. Comes with 10 disc cd player. Has custom mood lighting. Seats 7. Back seat turns into a bed. Interior is a 9/10 Exterior- Original paint still shines very nicely! It occasionally needs a good wax from oxidation but shines up like new. All chrome is in perfect condition. All the glass is good. Exterior is a 9/10. There are a few small imperfections but overall very nice for being 25 years old. Can you tell me more about the 4x4 conversion? The 4x4 is using a Dana 44 front and a Dana 60 on the rear. The 4x4 conversion was done by a company called Pathfinder in Industry, CA. They did the whole suspension, 4x4 conversion, lift kit, etc. All the 4x4 components work like new as they have hardly been used. There is a shifter in between the two front seats. It has 2wd, 4x4 hi and low. There are locking hubs. What is the inside height? The inside height is a little over 5 ft. How tall is the van? At the highest point it is 8ft. Does the A/C and Heater work? Yes, both work great with no problems. Would this van make it on a long trip? I don’t see that being an issue. To my knowledge, everything on this van is perfect. It runs and drives great and wouldn’t hesitate driving it across country. Having said that, drive at your own risk. Do you have a buy it now price?
