Vehicle Detail
The Mustang currently has a clear title however we are not able to produce one at present time. Through the course of the week a title or affidavit for lost title could become available. The owner is legit however over time the original title holder hasn't become able to contact. We are actively pursuing it. There is no VIN plate on the dash with the VIN coming from passenger side fender. The car originally came with a 390 4bbl. V-8. The current motor is a 302 4 bbl. V-8 that has had between 5 and 6 thousand dollars invested in it. The owner drove the car and stated it ran very strong. The owner employed as a heavy equipment operator sometimes spent extended periods away from home. On one such occasion he returned to find the 4 speed transmission had been stolen off the car. The body is overall exceptionally good however it requires new floor pans and there is some rust appearing on the fenders. All the parts including trim, interior, lens are present with the exception of no windshield or rear window. Included but not shown are a complete set of slotted mag wheels. The car is so close to being an excellent vehicle but sadly personal tragedy forces the immediate sale of the car. If you have questions you may call the owner at (360) 500-9412 or me at (360) 970-9966 On Jan-17-16 at 14:40:59 PST, seller added the following information: Vin number came from under passenger side fender. Car has R Code On Jan-18-16 at 21:51:51 PST, seller added the following information: Here's is accurate VIN number taken from under passenger fender. 7R02C131714. Updates from my inspection today (Monday). More info tomorrow. It shows as a 289 motor but owner was told it originally came with a 390 V-8. We were told sometimes California cars were sometimes pulled from assembly and then upgraded to bigger engines but no evidence substantiates this. The floorboards appeared a little better than initially described. I noticed a few small rust areas below the windshield. The grill may be from a 1968. The seats may not be original. slotted wheels included are shown. Some trim parts weren't observed and a few are possibly missing. On Jan-20-16 at 16:00:21 PST, seller added the following information: I should have all the paperwork required to title the car this evening or tomorrow morning. I will update info at that time. If you wish the make a phone call to ask questions regarding the car please contact me only at 360 970 9966. The owner is graving the death of a child this month and at times struggles to want contact with anyone. whatsoever. He apologizes to anyone who may have contacted him and his general disinterest in your call. I did find the proper aluminum bell housing for the mustang today. The cast iron one present may not have been correct for the car. As mentioned previously I am trying to get an accurate inventory of what loose parts are certain to be included. More tomorrow with updates. Finally. This listing is a continual challenge for us. The owner and good friend is in a position that requires the prompt liquidating of the asset after five years of planning to restore it. The tragedy he is enduring makes obtaining all the particulars you request at times difficult at best. I can only imagine the sorrow the family is enduring. In a perfect world selling this vehicle at a later date if at all would have been much simpler . Thank you for you understanding.
