Vehicle Detail

They dont make em' like this anymore. I garuantee this is one of the smoothest rides you'll experience! This car floats on the road.. you can turn the steering wheel with a finger. I am the second owner, and have owned this all original, no joke, 16,846 miles (true miles) Cadillac for around 9 years. In that time I have put 700 miles on it. The original owner was a well to do cement company owner out of Seymore Texas, who only drove this car on trips to Arizona and California. a I picked up this car out of their collection when they liquidated it. Prior to my owning it, it was kept in an air hangar. I have a lot of original paperwork from the owner such as service and registration receipts. The Tag on the windshield shows that it was last inspected in 1995, I didnt want to remove that sticker. I drove this car only twice a year, and only took it on one weekend trips. SUPER CLEAN TRUNK with the original, un used "blow up" spare tire, with propellant can for airing it up. Jack Stand and lug wrench mounted under carpet, never touched. Carpet throughout very clean. I did not clean up car for the pictures, and the pictures have not been edited to hide blemishes. The engine runs well and does not smoke nor leak what so ever. The carburetor does need adjustment/rebuilt because it has a little trouble starting when theengine is cold. once the engine is warm, it does run smooth. as soon as you put it in drive, the car drives itself.. just cruises along. Parts of the engine cooling system has been replaced to include: Radiator,Water Pump, Thermostat, Thermostat Housing, Hoses. Being such an old car, I did this because I didnt want any problems cooling the engine on the rare occation that I'd drive it.New Battery Installed 1-4-16All tires have 500 miles on them and are in great shape. Valve Gaskets, spark plugs, spark plug wires, alternator, and distributer cap have also been replaced. The Air Conditioning is not operating. The power windows and seat work. The radio with auto scan works, with all of the original speakers. The auto dimming Hi Beam Headlights also work. The auto trunk closer works, along with the release to open solenoid.Fiber optic cables for the light indicators are working. The headliner is sagging/badThere are minor scratches on exterior. There is one rust spot on the top passenger rear quarter, and another in a ding on drivers door. There was a blow out on front passenger side tire that caused damage to inner fender well and scrapped the quarter paneland door. marks are noticeable up close. The rear filler panels are broken out. The dashboard has a crack in it. The horn did not work on the day of this listing, but I plan on looking into that. #1 Concours $14,000 Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best vehicle, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concours. Perfectly clean, the vehicle has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 vehicles is "concours." #2 Excellent $9,500 #2 vehicles could win a local or regional show. They can be former #1 vehicles that have been driven or have aged. Seasoned observers will have to look closely for flaws, but will be able to find some not seen by the general public. The paint, chrome, glass and finishes will all appear as excellent. No excessive smoke will be seen on startup, no unusual noises will emanate from the engine. The vehicle will drive as a new vehicle of its era would. The one word description for #2 vehicles is "excellent." #3 Good $6,100 #3 vehicles could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 vehicle, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior where applicable. #3 vehicles drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These vehicles are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description of a #3 vehicle. #4 Fair $4,100 #4 vehicles are daily drivers, with flaws visible to the naked eye. The chrome might have pitting or scratches, the windshield might be chipped. Paintwork is imperfect, and perhaps the body has a minor dent. Split seams or a cracked dash, where applicable, might be present. No major parts are missing, but the wheels could differ from the originals, or other non-stock additions might be present. A #4 vehicle can also be a deteriorated restoration. "Fair" is the one word that describes a #4 vehicle.
