Vehicle Detail

***NO RESERVE*** Will sell or ship anywhere worldwide.Because of the age of this vehicle, and antique status, it is exempt from all restrictions. All paperwork and title transfer documents provided, as well as help with shipping arrangements. ***FULLY UNRESERVED*** Over the past few months, we've sold a half-dozen cars from our little micro collection to happy U.S. buyers. This baby is the last to go. I know I won't get half my money back on it but, it's been real fun. With that said..... The "MYSTERY MOUSE" is for sale! This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. On the outside is a beautifully kept and fully original appearing '72 Monte Carlo; complete with hubcaps and wheel skirts. Beyond the unassuming exterior lies the heart of a beast... A brand new high performance engine and drivetrain. This car looks really good but... is so much fun to drive! Only thing that really gives this factory modestly appearing car away is the rumble from the full Flowmaster exhaust with Super 44 chambered mufflers, and ceramic coated headers. As mentioned, there is a brand new (and, I mean brand new.... Only 400 miles!!!) fully balanced and blueprinted small block Chevy. It was built with the full Edelbrock Power Package, and is estimated at between 435 and 450 horsepower. The car starts, runs, and drives excellent in every which way. It is a real joy and an absolute thrill. The rumbling sound gets your heart racing. How quick this little mouse motor revs, and the shear power, is totally exhilarating. There is a super long list of incidentals (new fuel tank, lines, filters, hoses, radiator, battery, suspension, and steering) that I won't even get into. I will let you know that the car has a 12 bolt rear, with 3.73:1 gearing. Everything was designed to work together, and.... it performs well. Condition:Please examine the pictures closely. You'll see that this is as nice as can ever be expected from a generally unrestored 46 year old automobile. Upon very close inspection, there are several very small stone chips in the paint. Overall, it's very shiny and, certainly still looks very good. I'll call the condition a 1/20 to play on the safe side, compared to brand new (a difficult comparison due to perspectives). There is a tiny bit of isolated rust in the original paint, only on the wheel skirts. Have them repainted if you choose or, simply remove them. Chrome wheel trims are available from Original Parts Group, or a number of places. Parts are readily available and cheap. Only other thing I would suggest replacing would be the arm rests. Brand new ones shouldn't cost more than 80 dollars, and install in about 3 minutes each. The rear bumper has a soft ding and, is slightly "tweaked" on the driver side. The interior is original, and actually very very nice. There is no cracks in the factory dashpad, and the original seats show really no wear whatsoever. There is some visible fading in the carpet but none in any of the panels, even by the windows. I'd suggest ordering a new carpet. I looked at many Monte Carlo's for quite an extended time before finding this one. Some were more money but, none in better condition for being as close to original. I do not think anyone would be disappointed. I openly welcome and encourage anyone interested to feel free and have an independent assessment by a local appraiser for confirmation/validation. So, there you are Chevy fans..... A $12,000 Monte Carlo with an $8000 engine, plus a long $6000 list of incidentals (suspension, steering, exhaust, fuel tank, full brake system, etc. etc...... ). Basically, a wonderful opportunity for a savvy enthusiast. She's unreserved so, bid whatever you feel is fair. ***NO RESERVE*** As mentioned, this is a FULLY UNRESERVED 7-day auction. Obviously, we are intent upon a sale. Also, if you are afraid of missing out, we won't say no to considering offers, as long as they are done within the confines of Ebay. If you have any questions, I promise prompt replies. Telephone calls are welcome and encouraged -- Please let me know and we can arrange. Also, we would be happy to accommodate anyone wishing to fly in to view in person. One final note..... I am taking a loss, and I know this. Plus we're taking a big chance selling fully unreserved, and I understand. Reason I mention this is because we've had some unfair and dishonest bidders recently that made for a fairly unpleasant experience..... So, all I ask is for honest bidders with integrity PLEASE. ***NO RESERVE*** This isn't a new car, in brand new condition. You simply cannot expect that. If you are somebody that has never driven anything besides a Toyota Prius, this likely isn't for you. Start with a stock engine car, or 6 cylinder. This is a musclecar. It has a carburator and you will have to pump the pedal once or twice before turning the key. It is not fuel injected, and will not behave like your new car. If you win the auction, you have entered into a commitment... You have to reply to letters, and fulfill your obligations. No intelligence insulting excuses please. I will delete bids from people with more than 2 negative feedbacks immediately. Thank you. I hate having to state the obvious but, bad excuses and ridiculous expectations are just frustrating. I know there's a lot of decent bidders out there. No need to mess up a fun experience for decent people. I check my messages often, promise a prompt and informative reply, and will help any way I can. Good luck, have fun, and have a great day fellow enthusiasts! On 08-Jan-16 at 22:46:39 EST, seller added the following information: To everybody out there: The recent negative feedback I just received is from a new member, with 0 feedback, who never followed through with his purchase obligations. After a week, he did not even send his buyer's information. No deposit was sent. Ebay felt it may have been a phishing scam attempt but, cannot confirm, or deny at this point. They've considered it an "unpaid item" case, and refunded my fee's. I'm not certain what it's all about. This newbie member continues to provide the occasional excuse and hurl insulting remarks. It's rather disheartening. I hate to exclude anyone from the process but, must say.... this is why I ask for bids only from established members.
