The Sunbeam Tiger is a high-performance V8 version of the British Rootes Group's Sunbeam Alpine Roadster, designed in part by American car designer and racing driver Carroll Shelby and produced from 1964 until 1967. Shelby had carried out a similar V8 conversion on the AC Cobra, and hoped to be offered the contract to produce the Tiger at his facility in America. Rootes decided instead to contract the assembly work to Jensen at West Bromwich in England, and pay Shelby a royalty on every car produced. Since the Tiger has become an iconic collector sports car, incredible performer, and acts as an incredible investment...very hard to find and they rarely come up for sale. LAT 3:31 Posi and Positraction Bars LAT Edelbrock F4B Intake and Holley 600 CFM Carb It has an Ackerman Steering Kit It has an aftermarket steering wheel on it currently for ease of driving but the Original Steering Wheel is included. The Wheels are from the UK and branded as Minator The Paint on the Tiger is very nice with few flaws if any....it was Originally a Carnival Red #39 Color. The Exterior Trim on the car is all very presentable. The Interior is in nice condition....a few minor areas could be addressed to take it up to show quality but overall very nice. The Gauges all appear to be Original to the car. it still has the Original Rootes Keys The Soft Top is in nice shape with no nicks or tears. The Owner does have the restored hardtop for the Tiger but it would have to be negotiated later after the purchase if someone wanted it. The Engine compartment is very tidy showing pride of ownership and maintenance. It drives out very nicely, handles superb, shifts firm and accelerates we might say ....like it sounds with the dual exhaust...aggressive.
