I have owned this vehical since 2002 and it 14000 miles on it when we got it. A radiator hose popped off on the freeway and the engine cooked. I found an engine out of a rear end wreck with 130000 miles on the engine. I did the engine swap. It has new pugs and wires, new MAF sensor, MAP sensor, all 4 O2 sensors. The engine runs smooth when it first starts, then runs rough with misfire codes. Im told that they are a result of the vacuum leak in the brake booster(which needs replacing). Also, the cats have been cut open, hollowed, and welded back together. I kept reading that misfires are caused by plugged cats so i ruled that out by hollowing them out. It also needs tires. It has some rust bubbles that had been gound out and primed to prevent further damage. I hate to sell this ML after all the time and money I've put in it, but i just don't have the time anymore. Yesterday i had to move the benz in my driveway, So i decided to let it run for a while. After it ran for 20 min or so, i started to move it....then i decided to drive it around the neighborhood for a couple minutes. I must admit I'm bummed that my listing is only at $1100 after driving it. I regret not putting the reserve higher. Im considering ending the auction if it doesn't get to a reasonable price.
