*~*~*!! Real Americana True 60 year Old Classic 1955 Chevrolet Fleetside Very Nice !! *~*~* This truck is basically true survivor from southern Cali, most of its years. It was almost a barn find as the previous owner was 85 years old had it since the late 60s early 70s. He drove it around with a home made camper shell delivering bread he made from his home to local churches in San Diego, it was his baby. It runs good on freeway and back roads. You don't ever see the tri-five trucks with Fleetside beds and damn it looks good, these came with stepsides!! 6 lug half ton truck. 12 volt system with open drive rear end. What you're bidding on is a real classic not hacked up truck, it's simply the perfect canvas for you creation yes it still needs minimal work. - wipers, flashers, lights, blinkers and speedo all work wood bed is intact however it's old and yes "termites included". Tailgate opens & closes fine taillights work the cab is solid along with drip rails; floor boards; fenders; bed and roof. the front end of the truck including front fenders and header panel have been welded & filled to make it look like one piece front end. has the big old back bumper with tow ball in back and original bumper upfront, again these can be sanded and repainted or leave as is. the pinstripe you see it's just taped on as I got bored one nite and decided to lay it down...didn't finish and it can be easily peeled off. the interior seat, doors, headliner and carpet kit all look great just need some cleaning. Has after market ford stereo in it unfortunately the dash was cut somewhere down the line for this...no biggie replace and smooth it out. The steering wheel is good and horn works. front windshield is cracked "I DO" have the replacement for it, the side pass door window has crack on it too again its easy to get and cheap! Keep in mind this one has not been hacked up; air bagged; slammed nor altered therefore it would be perfect Father & Son project or good ol back country road cruiser that gets attention as is. I drve it all the time and never fails to start conversations or get thumbs up when I head to local flea markets and home depot. The title is clean and one of the old original tiny pink slips, tags are current until Sept. 2016 it does need some TLC as it's 60 years old. The original painted to match color of truck right behind the seat and the optional one nicely tucked in front of the rear driver side wheel. She runs good, could use a good tune up; some cleaning & chrome dress up under the hood to beautify it. It does not have power steering, disc brakes; a/c or heater. This is "Oldie but Goodie".
